Not mine, but when you have proof they were nicked (and I'm not doubting it for a second)... please feel free to beat some sense into the light fingered little mongrels found in possession.

Hey all jokes aside, what would the thieves be doing with brand new forks,if they werent into bikes??

Based on that, one would assume, if these were infact stolen, that they were either taken from a private vehicle or from a motorcycle related store within the district.

I hope your peons have got to work, canvasing previously reported thefts that match the above and putting a well thought out notice in the regional papers.

All markings on boxes and identifying papers gone...

Canvassing? What do you think this is???? Could have happened anywhere in NZ tho... hence the wider "search" for the real owner...

I would suggest, taking the forks,to either a bike shop,or someone in the know to identify what bike they are from to help narrow the search,at one glance you should be able to tell,Kawasaki or Suzuki etc, even a model, will all help!!

I'm picking that has been done...

It's not like I'm going to say "I found $10,000 in $100 notes and someone drew moustaches on the queen on every one ... anyone lost this?" Let the "owner" tell us what they know... you know what I mean????

If they non-upside-down forks off an 01' Fazer i think i may have a story for ya. Guy that stole my bike (previously) mildly damaged 1 pair, ordered 1 from the bike shop.
After running from the law for a while he f'ed up, dropped the bike (with old forks on) and lost his leg (fantastic)
but they never recovered a new set of forks from the gang headquarters.
But i don't think they would be wrapped up all new any more. And im not too phased as i got the bike with new forks anyhow.

Now thats justice.

Yeh but it was before i owned it. I met the owner that had it stolen off him, i bought it off the owner that got it off the insurance company. Put the 2 stories together a viola'.
But yeh i thought it was good justice.
Ironic part was when i bought it, i had a pin in the same leg as the guy who has lost his. The bike and i bonded fine.
