Well... Was a shock to me, when after a pretty good start in race one, F2, I hit the hairpin (a bit back from nicko and nick cole) comfortable in third, then Jimmy goes flying past under brakes!!! Shit oh dear!!
First F1 race was exactly the same move!! Think I need to start braking a bit later...errrr and cornering harder, oh, and leaning further!!
I was as stoked for Jimmy (beating me in every single race) as I was pissed off at myself... Did the old set the expectations way too high, without thinking it through properly, and try to ride by the seat of my pants, rather than ride to a plan.
Well done to everyone who got past me at one point or other (regardlez of whether I passed you back again, Eddie and Phil!)
Mate... Got to spend some time rethinking myself...and I quote...
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment.
Trying to make the shift from having to be amped and pumping to race well, to being able to be consistant regardless of mood.
Sooo... anyone following along in these footsteps, try and skip my mistakes!!
The best I got on the day was a 1:03. Was aiming for 1:01s.
I claim my mulligan ;)
Seriously though, had some good fun, great to see Eddie out there giving it a go, Phil being smoother and more confidant, Jill, pearler you!!
Was the highlight of my day to see Paul!!! Sorry I didn't quite make the bike fly as it should!
Love you all buh bye!!
