I'm looking on behalf of a friend for a 250cc bike. DR,XR,XL,TT or something similar. He is on a very tight budget i.e $900 to $1200 depending on what I can chip in. If anyone can help it would be appreciated! :rockon:

In that price range any of the bikes you list (and pretty much any bike) is going to be a steaming pile. I'd suggest you add KDXes to the list for ease of maintenace if nothing else.

Mate you wont get stuff all for that money, beware! it will cost you $500 to $1000 in the first few rides to keep it going, pay the extra & get something about $2500+

Theres a few good bikes out there
I got my 90 XR250 for $1400
I only use for trail rides and following my son on his XR70

Its nothing great but its reliable.
I will get a newer one when my son can beat me!

Take your time finding one and dont buy the first bike you go and look at.
The KDX 200 would be my recommendation,
Cheap to buy
Easy to work on
