now.....
first round is over, 2 more to go.
what a great race, for a Novice i think we did well, Dammad had a huge crash and i stalled my bloody bike alot more than i would have liked.

those of you that did not make it, there is still time to get to the next 2.

BUT .....

$45 per rider was very steep in my books (and my now empty wallet)

i would have liked to have been there to see some of it, but had a party last night and subsequently was throwing up most of the day:sick: . but hey it was a good party! was jamming with Tiki Tane from selmonella dub, thought that was a good reason to get absolutly trashed!:zzzz:

Yeah it was a huge one, pretty bloody sore now, didn't even wash the bike when I got home, i,m going to have to pull the bike apart to straighten everything up this week but it should be all good.

It will be interesting to see the results later this week when they get published.

Will try to work a bit more on the fitness before the next one.

Good work today James, we'll have to work on a few things for the next one but hopefully we can better our result.

I had a huge over the bars at speed and the bike landed square on my back, twisted the forks in the triple clamps, bent the muffler and brackets, after five minutes lying on the forest floor hardly being able to breath, I got up and puttered the bent bike back to the pits.

I didn't want to let James down so I straightened it out as much as I could and sucked in the pain so we could finish the race.

And what happened to you Tom? We could of used some good pit crew.

jimmy 2006
7th May 2007, 06:23
do you know anyone that would have passed them?? they were absolutley Flying!!! tried to keep up with Chris once when he passed me. But that lasted all of about 300meters before he was out of sight.

havn't seen the results but i guess that they would have won it.

Gave it a wash this evening, looks like the sub frames a bit bent and the exhaust is not sitting in the cylinder properly and it is leaking around the seal.

Will pull it all off this week and try to straighten it up.

It sure took a beating, but it should be ok.

Chris Rode The Top Trail Rider Round at Hukerenui on Saturday, and left the pits for a long stage, forgot to fill up his tank with gas! had to borrow some locals lawn mower petrol so he could make the stage.... he got to the stage t with 2 mins to spare. won the enduro by two seconds or so in the end....

Rode the two man on Sunday with Karl Power , and ran outta gas.
oops!
the experts dont always get it right.

Yep I have been raking my brain trying to think how I could come up with the funds, but I just dont think its going to happen. The plan was to try and get a good deal on a 07 before the 08's come out but we will have to see what happens later in the year.

Until then i'll just straigthen the beast out and get ready for the next race!

Cant wait to see the results for this one though!

i'm not all that hopeful for this race, your off and my absolutley dismal last lap would not have helped our times. BUT 2 more rounds to go and now we know what we are in for we better hold those damn throttles wide open :scooter:

as for every one else, it would be good to have a bunch of us there, a bit more jeering and hooting is in order, as they were very quiet pits !! maybe we all just need to know where every one is?

But thats why i'm so keen to see the results, with all the trouble we had we know we should be able to much better next time.

The Wild West Honda/DRD Magazine Two Man

Results will not be available for a few more days.AS we announced at the event, David has to do a lot of work on the computer to get the results sorted. There was a definite master computer glitch but all the bar coding has been recorded on the lap scoring computer in the scoring area. They didn’t transfer correctly to the main computer where we print it out etc so that has to be sorted this week. David is doing that as he can but advises me that it will take quite some time and may not be finished before next weekend. With the huge number of riders it means that it will take longer than originally thought.

Sorry about that but there is nothing more I can do. The results will be correct as we haven’t lost the base data.

The results will be on the Power Adventures and GNCC web Sites in due course

Cheers

Greg
