Just wondering where all of you read the forums? At home, Net Cafe or like I suspect, at work while getting paid for it

Can't I choose more than one! I normally read it at work during the day. The evenings/weekends at home or sometimes round at mates.

Depends on your job. At the moment I'm suppose to be taking phone calls and helping people with computer problems. No problems=Nothing to do so this is where KB comes in.

A good gruntling in the toilet at home?? Most reserve that for the work toilets.

I can see where the confusion arose, give that I referenced both in my last post.

My bad...

I'm most comfortable reading/replying at home with no interruptions, etc. I try and only spend time on KB at work during my break times. When we went away in August for 3 days, I dialed in using my wifes laptop at the apartment we stayed in but I couldn't really get into it while in holiday mode.

I've never ever been in an Internet Cafe.

I usually get into it when I'm waiting for my electric blanket to heat up late at night. But if I've got uni assignments due, I'm on it a lot more often!

.
.I very very rarely log on at work, we're not really supposed to use our internet at work for personal use.
(And I'm a good girl I am.)

I wake early so I use that time early in the morning to browse/reply etc.

I don't have a modem connection in the toilet. There is often grunting from the toilet, but it's not from me (honestly!)

I have used internet cafes, but usually only to check emails while we're away, I probably wouldn't bother checking KB as it would take too long.

I believe I have the answer.

There was approximately 180 posts between 24:00 Friday 10th and 06:00 Monday 13th. There have been in excess of 380 posts today (Monday 13th).

Conclusion:
Most contributors use their employers time/internet connection to access this site. :confused2 :shit:

I read it at home mostly cause at the shop it ties up the phone line. Can't get jetstream yet as we have our line rental with clear and telecom won't give it to us unless we change over to them  . I don't have access to a computer with internet access at work So like Lynda I check in before work and on my days off so I get some interesting log in times. Speaking of work I'd beat be off so I'll not be late :spudwave:

I'm going to thread-dredge instead of proliferate, here.

I am an Utter Geek (tm).

I post this as I sit in bed with my new (mmmm) work laptop which conveniently fits into my bungee-able waterproof backpack, connected to the interweb via my home 802.11g wireless network and Jetstream connection.

I just MSNed my wife, who's on the computer in the gargre.

She's not even ten metres away.

Now, where's my pocket protector...

Ain't this wireless technology grand? I feel sorry for our granddaddies, who had to laboriously run strands of copper from device to device.

It brings to mind my dream of a technological future where mobile phones will have voice recognition, enabling text messages to be entered by speech, as well as text-to-speech technology, enabling received messages to be read out in a lifelike voice. Why, one day, things might even advance to the point where we can have a delay of only one or two seconds between voice-entering a text to someone, and their hearing it audibly read out to them!

Isn't Progress an amazing thing?

Now for those of you with a bad case of grunting going on....
As there seems to be quite a few you with this ailment.
May I suggest, you take a good look at your diet... lol.
Unless of course you happen to suffer from IBS.

Up a tree mostly.

And work.

And at home.

And in the car, when walking/seeking attention etc (PDA or laptop).

I've tried an tinternet cafe - but I find that they overcook the keyboards.

hehe, can understand how people get hooked to this site, ive been sitting round all day waiting for the 'missus to get home so we can go to the airport, had a few "too many" to drink, and feeling a little bored. Ive never spent so much time on line as I have today - and Im at home so im paying for it for a change!

Well, for me it's way faster to read KB at work, especially when there are a few pages to wade through. Like now for example :msn-wink: Just waiting for "clock-off time", may as well get the reading done, so when I get home I can watch TV instead :devil2: (There's alot on tonight, TV2, 7:30 - 10pm I think).
