Only Rotorua and Palmerston North have such a tax. $5 at Palmy, and I think the same at Rotorua.

And Hamilton. $5.

No domestic departure tax from Wellers.

Wellington is not another Loserville that requires people to pay to leave. Unless, of course, they're going overseas.

Palmy tax ($3) is included into ticket price from 1st of October, 2012, but Rotorua and Hamilton still have $5 domestic departure fee

It's all about demand.

The demand for people to leave Palmerston North for instance would allow the airport to set up an organ harvesting clinic. One departure = 1 kidney. Don't worry about the other kidney, anyone who's been to PN doesn't want to come back anyway.

Right but wrong.

Yes its about demand. The demand for air service to Palmy has grown to the point that the air line can no longer use the threat of pulling service from the city to keep the airport authority from loading it on the landing fees as the rest of the country does.

You do pay the fee at Wellington and Auckland but it is built into the ticket cost and now Palmy is the same.

But what about the important stuff like which airports have covered secure parking for your bike and at what cost?
