Im looking for some help with my bike.
Im after some clip on's "handle bars" for my gsxr600 K6, either some suzuki one's or any other brand that will do the trick, im hoping that they are universal both broke in the same slide.
I would just transfer all my hand instruments onto the new bars.
And i also need some rear sets for my foot leavers as both sides are broken
I was told the that F1 Engineering could help be with this, but forgot the website that i was told.
The bike dicided it was time to send itself down the track, with out telling me:bye:
im not to worried about the fairings at the moment, time will come for them, i just want the bike running again.
Will try local reackers for the parts, but just checking to see if any one on KB had parts they wanted to get ride of first.

So you're the rotten bugger that flicked dirt all over the track. Held everyone up for ages, you did.... :dodge: Actually, from the tyre marks left, I'd say that you hit the painted line on the inside of turn 3
Sorry, can't help with bits tho

F1's stuff is fairly nice, but fkn steep! Check if Shaun has any stuff. Failing that, find a reputable store on eBay.

Local wreckers will unlikely have anything for a bike that new.

That was bert is evil, she actually had it sorted on the grass till she gassed it to get back on track, then it was 360 spin slingshot time

I'll second that, all my experience with wreckers thus far has been shit.

Sorry to read about your bin......good to meet you yesterday. I've replaced my left tail fairing scraped in my bin a few months ago. Photo here - http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=39801 Still have the damaged part (much less so than yours - wrong colour, but you're welcome to it if you want. New part retails $139+GST.

Went to the doc this morning, "You're going to need an X-ray young man" head hangs, as i think of the worst (broken wrist).
X-ray shows nothing wrong (harden up cam)
can bearly move my wrist, but the only good thing that can come form this is getting two days off work. Nice.

What did the rear sets, set you back may i ask, and the clip ons?
Have just sent shaun an pm.
And i presume that was from your local suzuki dealer?

Buddy L

after fiding out the prices from my suzuki dealer for the rear sets, it is giong to be cheaper to get them from F1 Engineering, a fully adjustable custom set.
And ill see if i can get my clip ons welded back up, because the shop quoted me at 295 each for the clip ons

ArcherWC
8th May 2007, 16:41
from the look of the break up close, Cam, you wont be able to weld the clipons, sorry dude

Sorry I haven't been online today...I read in a later post that you found the price for the rear sets anyway. Mine is an insurance repair and I don't know the exact price yet for specific parts. Oh, except the tank which is $1300 if I remember correctly. Good luck getting yours back on the road. It's been 2 months getting mine fixed and while most of that time I couldn't ride anyway due to injury I'm getting serious withdrawals!
