Me and a workmate have both got emails from telstraclear saying "Opps, you are over your traffic allowance". Check out my usage meter.

Have cable? How is yours looking?

Not paying that!

Yeah, I have 35 blocks of extra usage. Haven't downloaded that much porn. How big are your blocks? Different plans have different sized blocks.

Bet your projected charges are not as funny as mine.

A co-worker has a theory; if they invoice us for it, then do their financial reporting, then credit us for the mistake, their financial reports will look extremely rosy.

If I was feeling more agressive I'd ring the helpdesk, but I know that person doesn't actually deserve what I'd say :)

Never had one of those. I guess 5 meg is a lot to use in a month...

About 10min ago I had used an additional 253 blocks of 512Meg in 10 days...

If my math is correct, then that's a constant 1.2Mbit 24/7.

Straight from the horse's mouth:

Software Engineers are currently clearing the inflated data from the usage meter and it is expected that the meter will be available to customers at 6pm tonight.

Customers who received an incorrect notification, will be sent an e-mail explaining the situation, and advising them that the usage meter is once again available for view.

I've also been told by a little birdie that all affected users will not have any usage between 10am & 5pm yesterday (10 may) counted towards their total or appear on their bill.
