Try doing Christchurch to Dorkland in one day on a naked bike in August:gob: I hit the Desert Road around 10:30 pm. It took me about 3 days to thaw out and my knees ached due to the cold air for the next week. :(

Yep, I did it once and even with my perchance for cold climes, I had my teeth chattering when I got to Waioru. Went to the cafe at the army museum, tucked into a large meal and donned my thermal shirt, neck warmer and a couple more layers of warm clothes. Was positively toasty after that!

So, now I have more gear for those pootles through colder areas! :lol:
