Nope. No photo's yet... apparently it'll be here by the weekend. A Norton Commando - only paid $6300 for it too. That's a good price I'm told. It's coming from Tauranga via Biketranz for $230... he's really happy.

Barry just moved over here from the UK (just before xmas) with his wife and two kids. His father was a UK racing fella (surname of Johnson - back in the 60's and 70's I think) and Barry raced the classic series over there...

He was out the Hutt at some geezer's bike shop (A old bikes shop) and was gonna get a bike from him for $16k but he saw this one on Tardme (was only going to go to $5k) and bought it... He hasn't got a gargre so he'll be doing the work on his bike in mine... and bringing over some of his tools and his hydraulic bike lift....

I'll post some pics when I get them...

Why didn't he just buy a nice fast bike for $6300 instead of some old bike that doesn't go fast?

Like a VTR250 you mean....may find the Norton is faster than yours.....

With a little work it'll be worth 3 times what he bought it for... apparently. I don't know anything about old bikes. I do know that he has enough gear to sink a ship (wonder how he got it here) and I'll have unlimited access to it. The real bonus is that I'll be able to learn some real world mechanics from someone in my own gargre!
