Avon azaro tyres

Need to get something that turns quicker. havn't felt it letting go (unless gunning it on cold tyres in the wet). Looking for about 450 maybe they are pretty new. FRont is a 120/60/17 and rear is a 160/60/17. Just seeing if i can sell them.

P.s. how are those diablo's that is what i am thinking of putting on.

I'm a bit of a bike tyre novice, but I had a really good run out of my set of Pirelli Dragons.
They have never felt close to letting go, I had a really good run outta them.

I have the same Avon tyres on my bike, except the rear is a 180. I got Avon Sporttourers because they are an all-round tyre and should give me more wear. I've had them fitted for a good 6 weeks now and have done 2 track days and about 2000kms on them - they are great! I reckon I should get a good 8000kms+ out of them.

I'm wondering why you want to change them? I know you said you want something that turns quicker (?) but you also say that they are pretty new...have they even been run in properly?

Personally, from what I'm hearing from bikers these days, people are putting too much emphasis on tyre brands instead of gauging good or bad tyres by riding them in properly. I've heard of people who lose all confidence on their machine just because a passer by told them that the Dunlops they have fitted are not as good as Pirellis!! :wacko:

Well said. And it's not always what you ride it's the way that you ride it!

The tyres themselves are great. They havn't even hinted at letting go on me and they give me confidence in the wet. The problem is the profile on the front tyre does not let me "throw" the bike around as much as i would like.(they also heat up slower) And i would just sell the front and put a sport on (that is another option if anyone wants it) but i thought i might just change both.

If i don't get any takers in the next couple of weeks i think i might just make do with these. Just a thought i had so putting it out there.

:puke: No really they're not all that bad but I have lost a lot of confidence in the wet, but in saying that I bought them because I barely got 3000k's outta my Diablo and wanted to try the Avon's out as I hadn't used Avon in a few years. Have adjusted my riding to suit :(

Keep em both and adjust your riding... Your riding style will probably neecd to change a little to get your bike to turn in as fast as your 250 did. Conciously think about countersteering, and really pushing on that inside bar. It ought to go over fast enough for you then, regardless of what tyres you are running....
