Get your BHS, then do the scratchy test and eye test for Learners.

1. Basic handling practical that consists of weaving between cones, stopping time tests and turning tests. When I took mine, it was on an automatic scooter so all you needed to know was throttle, balance, indicating and stopping. The place I went to you could pay a bit extra and they give you 15 mins and explain everything before you do it, and let you try it. Then once "test" time comes you have to be able to do it all without any problems (although he let me off a bit on a few mistakes I made as I'm over 6 feet tall and the scooter is far from ideal for me to sit on and keep my balance while turning)
2. Turn in your Basic Handling certificate they give you if you passed, and they have you sit a scratchy test that is the same as a learners car license but with 10 or so extra questions added in that are bike specific. Also on that note - there are a few questions that are in every scratchy, such as a question about where most of your braking power comes from.
3. Eye test - read letters and then a peripheral vision test
4. Smile - photo for license
5. Go ride.
can you do your car and bike licence at the same time
