Before the meeting, starting at 9am Young Junior Road Race and Streetstock will be training. Other more senior (novice) riders are welcome to come along and get some training too, sign in for this at 8am
In the afternoon programme will be a New Zealand first. A race for young people on old bikes. All riders under 20 years old, bikes pre '82 or older. The winner will be by popular vote of the riders and supporter (1 each). First prize is an expenses paid free entry to the Classic Festival 2008. A big thanks to CMRR for their support.
Anyone who can provide a bike and youngster for this unique event, get organised and be there. Thanks
Has anyone got dates for racing at teretonga in the near future?

Hey guys,
I'm pretty much a total newbie to all of this but can some one give a link or some other such relevant direction (how to get started, rules, places to go, who to talk to, costs, all that stuff) on motorcycle racing? I'm on my restricted and have an 89 CBR250R. I'm pretty much just keen to get out there and give stuff a go.
Even info on dates for races I can go and watch would be awesome.

Pity you werent here last week. On Saturday the Otago Club had a Have a Go Day at Levels catering for all levels and speeds.
Get into a Bike shop - get an application form for the OMCC and get into the club.
If you PM me an email address I will send you an elecrtronic copy of the club newsletter that just came out to give you an idea.

OK thread this is out of date - if you like me and want to know what's going on I get the OMCC (Otago) newsletter and keep an eye on the SMCC http://www.southlandmotorcycleclub.org.nz/ and the Canterbury http://www.mci.net.nz/events.php web sites to see what happening.
See ya on the track!
