Bike down on the Takas? (13 May)

Had a report from a woman at work today about a bike crash on the Rimutakas. Apparently she came across the scene at 11:30ish on Sat.

The Ambulance had just arrived.

No details on the bike or the rider.

Anyone heard anything?

Mrs H and I spotted that. It looked like one of those old boxy Hondas or Yamahas. Black. Criss-cross patterned alloys. Two truffle hunters and an ambo in attendance. The last right-hander before the summit on the Wellington side. The rider appeared to have ended up in the armco. The road was a bit moist but nothing untoward.

I hope that the rider was not too badly knocked around.
