Thanks very much for all the efforts you all went to freckin fantastic.
Me Loosebruce and the cajun arrived at Paul in NZ 's house at around 4.45 to a awesome welcome from the crew, Hamish, Lynda, Blakaman ( sorry if forgot) were there, Pauls wife had a Damn nice spread of yummies for us , and we headed of over the Hill , at the foot of which was some dodgey looking dude on a dodgey looking bike, who seemed to pass us all with ease. We stopped at the top to find out it was Jimmy the White Trash of Welly, From there we were escorted into welly to WT house where we were invited to spend the night (thanks again Jimmy damn good of you ).
The evening rolled on and a few others joined us and we had a few beers and a good feed of F&C which went down well, Jimmy I must say is a man of good taste and shows signs of absolute class regulary, this was certainly the case in his choice in Music, now I dont know how many of you were around in the 70's but if you were you may remember a band called , The Rodger Fox Big Band, well their was his record sitting pride of place amongst the photos of his children and did it come out of its cover yes it did , on numerous occasions..... sorry Jimmy couldnt help myself lol:msn-wink:
We went out into town and were shown a few of the sights, I was barely conscious by 12.00 but managed to hang on till 2.30am, jimmy managed to hang on till errrr about 4.30pm the next day, good energy Jimmy ..Respect mate.
The next day we went on the organised ride and there must have been 30 -40 people, great turn out. I always thought these guys didnt have any decent roads to ride on, Freckin bloody hell they got awesome roads down there, not sure exactly where we went, Lynda will fill you in Im sure , But what a great days riding, good people great food great roads , and great weather, well for the most part, after the ride I had to go up to Paraparaumu to the old mans place and got rained on severly.
Got up this am had a cup of tea and hit the road, I left at 9.15 am and got back to Hammy at 2.45 with petrol stops and a quick lunch in Tauramnanui, really good time, Im confused then how it took us nearly 8 hours to ride down..... go figure to much talking and coffee I suspect
Any way here are some pic's of the weekend
Sorry Coldkiwi, what can I say Im evil??

Pleased to see you got back OK.

That rain was pretty horrendous. Mike (Mangell6 - FZ1), Mooch (Neal- 748) hung around for another coffee at Wild Oats after everyone else left, and by the time we got to Upper Hutt it was fair old bucketing down.

It was great to meet you, and the 636 looks best in red. Good choice. :)

Glad you had a safe trip home Quasi, it was neat to meet you and LooseBruce.

Yeah, the 636 in red is pretty sharp.

We'll have to hook up with you next time we come up to Morrinsville on the bikes - not sure when that'll be yet, every weekend till Christmas seems to be booked up (well, that's how it feels anyway!)

Sorry Coldkiwi, what can I say Im evil??

ya cheeky bugger!

thanks for the company though. Nice to go on some new roads - even if they were actually old roads that seemed to be actively turning into gravel roads as I rode over them!

You don't need to be a 70's muso to be a rodger fox fan. He taught me trombone for a while when he was leading the Macleans College jazzz bands in a few years ago. Bloody legend hardworking guy and good fun... not too mention a mighty fine musician
