Does anyone here ride a motard as thier main or only bike?

Aside from the obvious downsides (fuel range and maybe comfort),
what can you say about them?

My main problem is not picking up tickets !!! there isn't a ride carefully option !!!
It's sort of Go or Stop !! Just heaps of fun with huge grins all the time besides as you say always being in the petrol station.
I wouldn't change mine.

I'd be going for something like Sam I Am's XR rather than a hardcore Husaberg, KTM, Huskie etc. The XR would be more forgiving and more user friendly on a daily basis. The hardcore stuff will have more outright performance but it comes at a price with higher maintenence requirements.
On the right bit of road they are unbeatable but on the wrong (straight, boring, no twisties) they are just painful.

I had a KLX250 Motard as my only bike for about 6months, perfect for around town.

Not a problem - 200km per tank.
My motard was my only transport for the last 8 years until I got the DR650.
Been to ChCh and back no probs but the Takaka Hill and Whangamoas are more fun :D
Problem is that I'm not actually going any slower around the corners on the DR.

Still have 2 of them :o

They're for sale though...
