1988 Oil Cooled Short-stroke GSXR750, suzuki's revolutionary bike with a bulletproof motor, TQ cars are still racing round with these in them, they last a lifetime.

I bought her with 62k on her 6 months ago (70k now), the previous owner was a summer only rider with a work-injury, for my purchase he replaced the front tyre which is now nearing the end of its life but is still warrantable, rear was replaced 2k ago so plenty of meat.

I did a blissful 3 week tour of the south island after buying and have done only a few shorter trips since, i found it comfortable to ride (not what i expected), only getting sore knees after 400k stretches

Beautiful bike to ride, but i've decided that maybe we're just not meant to be :bye: so here she is,

70k on the clock and looked after and serviced like only a horny man wishes...

In the last thousand k's i have done a complete service:
oil + filter (Motul, previous owner used Mobil 1 from memory)
new plugs
new Pads (all replaced)
new Fuel lines
new accelerator and clutch cables
new x-ring chain and sprockets (within the last 100)
and a good lubing and torquing of all the cables and bolts i could find
Carbs were serviced when i bought her.

Cosmetically she looks like she has been ridden, but not crashed, so little knicks, small scrapes and a wee bit rough down the bottom where she fell over in the shed :bye:

i was thinking 3900, what do you all think?

Reg'd till march 08 warranted till the 26th of this month.

Will take some better photo's if its a sunny day tomorrow :sunny:

Bike is now on trademe http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports/auction-100593866.htm

Nice bike! It's what I'm thinking of getting once I upgrade. Wouldnt trade for a bandit? ;)

hah, i've got nothing against them but two up pootling isnt quite as comfy!

I must find the picture i have of her all laden up for the SI trip, its amazing, and was easy to ride even with all the extra baggage, comfy for the pillion too :)

Love to see that.. It seems like its a reasonably large bike.. Bandit doesnt like two people.. at all.. :nono:

Hey mate, I bought your RGV250 off you. I'm selling my RF400, if that sells I will be dead keen on your bike. Could you send me any pictures of the bike out side so I can see what she looks like in the suns light.

I love these bikes!
