I've been telling people this for years. Brand name chain is for people who don't know the difference - the sort that think chain side plate thickness is the deciding factor in its ultimate strength or wear rate and so heavier must be better.

I'm a little anal about looking after drive chains and as a consequence I've never replaced one. I usually sell or trade my bike before the chain wears out.

nice it tells me my rk xso chain that i brought for the 600 one of the best around, i also went down to a 520 instead of stock 525, after the stock died(28,000kms)
