Realised yesterday afternoon with the amount of work coming in there wasn't a hope in hell I'd manage to get my new tyres fitted onto the CBR myself.

Arranged with girlfriend to steal her trailer and took CBR to local bike shop this morning. Went to pick bike up at 4:45pm. Local bike shop owner tells me that unfortunately I've ordered the wrong sized rear. To cut a long story short, the @#$ng suppliers sent a 17" rear instead of an 18" one even though we'd spent a few minutes waffling about the lack of tyres for an 18" (as a side note at very short notice Econohonda have found a 17" rim that may fit).

Anyways, I digress. Bombing home I bolted into the garage to start fettling the as yet untested FZR. Not what I'd planned for a Friday night. After 3 hours in the garage and much swearing she was ready. Leathers, helmet, gloves, etc all ready to go. FZR, spares, tools loaded into trailer.

It wasn't till I got back into the house that my PDA told me the VMCC race is on Sunday and not tomorrow.

I am a monger. Saturday will be a relaxing day. :gob:

Could have been REALLY worse. I was toying with the idea of fitting the tyres on the morning of the race and leaving the fizzy in the garage. I'd have been really fecked then.

I'm currently doing a raindance as the fizzy has $hit brakes, is running a bit lumpy and I've only ridden it for 3 laps (get the excuses in before the races). Glad I have it though as it was bought specifically for occasions such as these.
