I thought it was an interesting modification. Spot the difference.

Looks kinda cool if you ask me, I wonder how hard it was to do and if he noticed any difference

You could just ask the ex-owner and builder orangeback. (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/member.php?u=5684)

Not sure if it's still in Christchurch but that is where it's originally from.

edit/ Whoops was supposed to quote Sniper. Just woken up, still half asleep.

It gives it a longer wheelbase by 30 mm, and doesn't get head shake when you give it throttle like most blades apparently do.

Looks like arse imo.

Dunno, all the space under the tail section makes the wheel look small or something.

send the pic to honda and tell them ALL their bikes should have VFR rear ends!!

He just made a perfectly good Fireblade heavier and more difficult to work on.

Saw a pic of a VTR Firestorm a while back that had that done to it as well. Except this bloke had also got hold of some seriously bling wheels too. And spent lots of money on suspension, etc.

Why one would spend that much time and money on a Firestorm though, is another question

Yum. Sanx, feel free to try this on your CBR; I know of a single-sided swinger for sale ;)

It's a waste of time; looks kewl, but adds unsprung weight, complexity, and less stiffness to the swingarm.
Be OK if it was a Ducati, MV or Triumph SSSA, but the VFR one is ugly and heavy, and shouldn't be put on something sporty.

In my opinion....
