Received it yesterday too... If BMZ2 is right I won't be in any great hurry to get her into the shop. Mind you - I wonder what the old insurance companies would do if (hypothetically) you ignored Suzuki and continued riding without getting the problem sorted? Probably it would make the policy void?? Hmmmmmmm

No it doesn't, Suzuki quality control should get a smack in the ear for this one.

Dodgy fuel rail AND fuel pipe issues ?? this can't be right surely :nono:

Did mine over the weekend. Only a couple of small dramas...left hand air inlet clamp on the airbox was siezed solid, got it off in the end after a few "incouraging" words:angry: and the screws that hold the fuel rail on were frickin tight! Steel screws in aluminium though, never a good mix! Other than that was a sinch, and a good excuse to give the bike a good polishing once it was all back together to get rid of all the finger marks!

I'm still waiting back to hear when they have the parts.

The dude I spoke to did say that the chances of any particular bike actually having this problem was low. It was more of a potential problem....

.... so it will be interesting to hear back as to how many of us actually did have an issue to worry about once the work is done and dusted.

I checked the clamps off the old fuel rail and mine were tight as, I know not every one is going to be loose as like you say it's a "potential problem". Still, feels good to know it's all good now.

I think the problem is the fact that where the rubber hose is clamped, it is on the curved part of the steel pipe and as such the curved section of the steel pipe is oval and not round. And you will notice the only difference in the new fuel rail is that the rubber hose is clamped to a straight section of the steel pipe.

here are the pic's of the old and new fuel rails, it is just not the clamp but the housing and pipe connection

Yep, Holeshot seem a little on the slowwww side when it comes to recall data, I showed em a recall sheet for the Boulevard C90 range because of fuel tank mount problem and leaks, they didnt seem to know about it, They said they would follow it up, I left em my mobile number but I aint heard anything...
