Auckland Motorcycle School contacts

I have a friend who used to ride, years ago when she was a sweet young thing. She is now keen to pick it up again - having her eye on a guy with a bike !

I would like to know of any motorcycle schools around Auckland, that are recommended by those with actual experience of them.

My friend is keen to begin again from the basics and build up from there.

I think the Auckland Motorcycle Club has someone who does the Basic Skills Handling Test, but where can she learn to ride again ?

I dont know But your freind could get in touch with WIMA (Womans International Motorcycle Association) contact in Auckland (Marion). She might be able to point the young lady in the right direction. Email contact for WIMA is on the main page under the notice about the Pink Ribbon Ride.

Also the John Wright learner instruction was brilliant for my partner. :2thumbsup

Hiya KK - great to be back.... ! The reason(s) for absence from KiwiBiker, I just got so sick of the religious ravings and the boring stuff and never-ending personality parades.

Also I was staying up waaaay toooo laaaate at night, and had to put a severe brake on my viewing and posting habits.

According to the Welcome Back calendar thingey, I didn't visit for 12 weeks, a wonderful achievement. !!!

Now watch me slide into my former bad habits, posting later and ever later at night - until the Patu-paiarehe get me !!!

I'm back riding my bike after a long time of not wanting to, and went to the Cold Kiwi at Waiouru.

Hope all is well - how're your studies and job going, and how's the racing ?

Hi bestfun,

I learnt off Craig Wiffen at AMCC back in late 1999 and am quite convinced it was some of the best money I've spent on my riding hobby. Top bloke, very patient and competant with a real interest in helping people to enjoy getting into bikes.
