Hill starts - do what you usually do for a hill start.
Good luck on your test on Wednesday.

Hey dude just got my restricted last month. Pretty easy a just do what you would normally do, like indicate, stop at stop signs and just do what she says. um make sure that you only go 70k if it is an 80k-100km zone cause they will fail you if you speed! what i did was i went out and did 2 tanks a riding roud the area which i knew i would be doing for my test. this helped me a lot an in the end i got 93%. the things i got wrong were leaving my feet down when i was moving very slowly in the car park so dont do that and you should be sweet. its easy just clear your mind before you go and take it as it comes!

Don't stress too much. Just remember the basics and read the thread link that Crashe's given you.
Remember to be polite, prompt and chilled as humanly possible.
As long as you obey stop signs, give way, keep doing lots of headchecking as you ride, obey speed limits and ride sensibly you'll be fine.
And don't forget to take ID & proof of address with you.
PS if you can reverse your bike into where you will be leaving from, saves you having to faff around and gives you a good start riding out.

Congrat on your getting your restricted! Still on my looser plates at the mo but only got a month left so hopefully will join you in the ranks of plate-less riders soon.

The one you're going to need - to sit the test at least. Don't worry, there are a lot of riders who have never used an 'L' plate (aside from the restricted test) - myself included. Good luck for the test, and like Chickadee said, so long as you're polite, punctual, relaxed, and do what you normally do, you'll be fine

Well, I've done it too! Had my restricted last night and passed. I can now legally ride at 100km/h on the open road; so glad that restriction is done and dusted!
Will have to participate in some of those rides now that I can actually travel at a decent speed!

They shouldn't fail you for 100 in a 100 zone. There's an exemption from the 70k limit while sitting your restricted. I confirmed this with the tester when I went to sit mine. In fact, they could probably fail you for going too slowly ... but since it's a bit obscure, I'd hope they wouldn't do that either.

Too true, there's an exemption. I asked the guy but he said to stick with the restriction on the road test. We didn't spend too much time out on the open road; just enough to find a turn off to get back to a sedate 50km/h...
