Heya Kiwifire

Firstly what colour did you buy? 8 ball black, chilli red or electric mango? Please say the latter :Punk:

Recommend you also sign on to this forum www.korider.com Its a Hyosung owners forum and will keep you informed of mods that can be done, little tips and tricks with the Hyo's and things to keep an eye on

As for milage I get 380km on a tank before I feel the need to fill up again. Cheap as chips to run

Welcome aboard

Have ditched the 4wd in the drive and opted for the yellow GT250R as well. Definitely beats sitting in long lines of traffic burning up diesel.

But who come up with this ridiculous restriction stuff? That's my only gripe. The bike's great.

So, if you see another yellow one around Auckland, it might just be me!

Maybe catch some of you on a ride soon.

Are the GT250Rs restricted in any way?

lordlinty
24th May 2007, 15:28
I should have said. The learner license restrictions are a pain, not the bike. (The 250 is restriction enough)

Despite peoples stabs at Hyo's they are a good bike for the price.

Other day pulled up to an intersection at Victoria park and there was a Hyo at the front of each direction of traffic :)

Hello, I'm going to be getting one of thsee soon. What kind of range has it got? I.e. how far does it go on one tank?

The Hyosung has a range of nearly 400km (23km/l and a 17 litre tank).

A good starter bike but a surprising move from a 37hp 2 smoker. you're going to drop 8 or 9 hp and you're gonna miss it. Try one before you buy one.

I've been borrowing my wife's RG this week and boy I love it! And that's comparing it to a Ducati! OK so I still prefer the Ducati but I can't sing the praises of the RG enough.

The Hyosung has a range of nearly 400km (23km/l and a 17 litre tank).

Stick to what you know Mcjim :dodge: (not much) :dodge:

I get 400km on no more than 14ltrs which is 28km/l. When I hit the red on the gauge I fill it up and it never takes more than 14ltrs.

Is that the same for you Warlock?

The most I have ever had was 425km and that was 16.14litres which worked out at 26.3k/l, this was on a 600km round trip so we werent exactly going slow. The best I have ever had was 29.5k/l.

Well, finally did it, off those looser plates! Passed the test last night and I can now legally travel at 100km/h on the open road (that restriction was such a drag).

Will have to hook up for a decent ride, now that I can go a decent speed and pass cops without getting busted!

Cheers,

Monty

Note the "can now go 100km/h legally". ;-)

Now I just can go a little faster past cops...

It's pretty close yeah ... i've only ever had to more than 14ltrs in the tank 4 times .. and that was only after i'd been giving it death.
