What 2007 supersport bikes have you ridden and which did you prefer over the other(s)? If you could give a little write up on your opinion that would be sweet. And please only reply if you have actually ridden two or more of the five bikes on hand (ZX6R, CBR600RR, R6, GSXR600, 675).
Personally I have only had the chance to ride the 2007 ZX6R which i enjoyed, I also got to take a very short spin on a 2006 R6, but unfortunately neither ride was long enough to get a good feel for either bike.

I've ridden similar spec (stock apart from shock) R6 and ZX6-R on track now, and ridden those two and 675 (breifly) on the road.
The R6 is very front endy-you have LOTS of weight over the front wheel. this is good in the nadgery tight stuff - but the bike begins to feel a little uncomfortable at flat out hi-lean situations.
The ZX is a little more 'flat' (geometry wise). this makes is feel like theres a bit less weight on the front, consequently it is a little harder work in really tight stuff, but very good in faster corners. Also has the feel of better real wheel hook up on exit.
Chassis wise the ZX feels MUCH stiffer, all the feedback comes from tyres and suspension, where the R6 is a little more prone to chassis induced movement when pushing hard. The ZX deals with bumps much better due to this - though you feel them more as a rider.
In the engine department, the ZX has more mid-range stock than the R6, but its pipe seems strangling up top, and the R6 FEELS like it has more here. I think this will be balanced out by aftermarket pipes - the Yamahas is just a better stock system. I only rode the 675 on hiways, so can only comment on the motor. A huge mid-range, but very little over-rev fuction compared to the Jappa's - and runs out of breath quickly.
Hope this helps ya R6 kid, but your name sugests you have got an ideal in mind already....
NB - important to some (me...) they all wheelie admirably, but only the ZX could I hold it up in 5th on....

LOL... I'm sure i'll be keeping that in mind.
I intend to test ride each bike before i decide to buy, if i decide to step down from the GSXR1000k3. It would seem though that these days the bikes (supersports) are pretty close to each other when it comes down to it, and if you aren't a competitive racer looking for that extra edge then you can choose a bike on looks and still be level with you mates.

Hey mate I test rode the 07 R1 , zx6 and the R6 before finally buying the R6 its got a well shaped tank that fits my legs perfectly... got the spunk even in the high rpms to keep u smiling and will match most litre bike move to move in the twisties if ridden well... the R1 was too powerful for me so I gave it a pass, the kawa was a mean machine but I personally didnt like the look too much though it felt smooth to ride... mid range power was good too... but undoubtedly the R6 is the best looking 600 on the market to date .... hence I bought it... ive had her 3000 ks now and wouldnt touch another bike.... I highly recommnd it.
