Maybe not so many whoops in the future. Power Adventures website says the bike park has new owners. Hopefully graded tracks in the future....yep I'm new to this site. Might meet you all at the park on saturday.

I agree that the whoops are a shit, but the tracks ae quite good.
It does need a fair bit of work thoug. They need to take a digger and go and fix all teh tracks. They must have room to make some new tracks too.....

I don't know who the new owner is or if he even tendered or was interested, but I hope it was someone like John Nic. He has been in there cutting new tracks. There is alot of untapped potential in the bike park. Tight windy tracks don't tend to whoop out much and are the most fun in the park. If you want to go fast in a straight line just go down the beach (or like the guys with the noisy pipes like doing, just go up and down the road next to the carpark :nono: ). Saying that, I like the whoops! Just not all day, thats why the tighter tracks like John makes are so much fun.

The 450 has been dumped for a 06 200 exc. better for the forest and less maintenance. Not as quick thru the long open stuff but real good in the tight, What ever happens at woodhill can only be better than it is now.

Great bike, I have one myself. Not much can keep up with the KTM200 in the woods. See ya out there sometime. KTM200 #45, although been riding my RM250 #291 mostly lately.

There were a few tenders from what we understand. Not sure if John would take it on but I'll ask him.

I like the tight stuff too, but some of the tracks need a bit of work. Big tree roots to trap your wheels and make you fall off..... just need to have a bit of a track change I think.

John is John Nic (Nicholson). Don't think it would be him though as he's got plenty on his plate anyway.

I quite like the bike park at wood hill. Have never had a problem with the woops, (bugger if you get them wrong and they can send you flying).
Most of the bike park is realy good, its just the first couple of hundred meters heading in and heading out of the trails, as every one blasts, along trying to impress others.
Take the first short cut home (because they are tired) and blast back. To the car park. Which recks it for every one, and leaves a bad impression.

I agree. Thats what I love about Woodhill, tight twisty trails, roots, fast sections full of whoops, it has everything and you come out at the end of the day with a clean bike most of the time!
jimmy 2006
25th May 2007, 20:28
love the whoops and the tree roots!!!!
if anyone changes their mind, we will be there from 9.30
can't wait, get to try out the new car to!!!

The Bomb !!! one of the best days in there yet!!! found even more tracks i had not been on. we got there about 9.45 and rode untill 3.00pm solid whack with only a few stops. absolutely buggered now. still needs more rain though, it is wet on top but still not in its prime.
should be a good tomorrow if your still going. wish i could go.
had a crash, broke the bracket that holds the bars on. the peice that runs between the two clamps. it cracked right through on both sides. bugger
dammad1
26th May 2007, 19:03
Yeah good day, got home and noticed that one of the bolts that holds the subframe on had come loose and one of the other ones has gone, I must have forgotten to tighten them up when I put it all back together.
DOH!!
cheese
26th May 2007, 19:54
fuck, if that is your tripple clamp you are talking about goodbye a few hundred dollars!!
I'm looking forwawrd to tomorrow.
dammad1
26th May 2007, 20:18
Nah it wasn't the triple clamp, its just the clamp for the handlebars.
jimmy 2006
26th May 2007, 20:54
it is the peice that runs directly below the bars. the bars attach to the bike directly through this bracket. i just hope i can buy it as a single peice and not as a whole kit.
cheese
27th May 2007, 17:38
have you got high mount bars? I've got a set of high mounts if you want. Cost me $50 you have have them for $30.
