Hi Ya all.

Well a couple of mates recomended your site from the pervious Australian club I was with - Netrider.

I have done the opposite to most and moved over to NZ from Aus. I really love the people here, the countryside, the mounatin biking and of course the riding! Guess its the overall lifestyle thats appealing and yep I dont have to put up with John Howards crap anymore! LOL

I have been a biker for about 4 years and a bit. My first bike was a 1990 Yamaha FZR 400. This bike I learnt on (no restrictions in Queensland) and it did me well for many years - mind you she was not just any old learner with at a top speed of 200ks and hour. My next bike was a 2003 Yammaha r6 special edition (black with red flames) which is one serious machine! I really loved this bike and if any of you are moving to sydney let me know as she's up for sale.

Now that I am living in Auckland I started looking for a new ride and was amazed at the price of certain bikes here! I was basically able to afford my dream bike - the ducati 748. Its a 2001 standard 748 model with carbon headers and has the single seat at the rear off a 748R. I have only taken her out for a few rides so far, but man it is becoming a serious love affair. Speed wise its about the same as the R6 but I really love the sound and the shear torque that it has!

Anyway I am drooling again.

Wrapping it up now! I am really keen to get involved in the Kiwi Biker community, hook up for some rides and make new friends.

Cheers

Welcome to the Machine.
Good to have the Aussies drifting across the ditch.(ANZAC spirit and all that).
Lots of nice roads and tracks for you to play on. The climate may take a bit to get used to, but the scenery compensates for that. Enjoy the Duke.:Punk:
