Actual, if it's got only 1400km on the dial, then maybe it's worth it. It'd pretty "mint" if that's genuine mileage (unless some plonker like me had been riding it...)
But then again, I paid $8500 for my 1990 VFR750, and $8k for a '97 VTR1000.

7th June 2007, 11:03
seriously...i think you could get $5k, maaaybe 6 for it, but 7 would be pushing it - sounds like a fekkin minta tho, those are ridiculously low km's

you could probably sell it for a small fortune in the states

is it on trademe? id love to see some pics....

1400k's? No more zeros to go in there?
If thats really the amount of k's on the bike then its hardly seen the road, why would you need to spend $3g on it?

antoni
8th June 2007, 10:47
the bike was stored for a year in japan.the kms are true, dont waist my time mate.

Post some pics, good closeups of things like grips, top triple clamp, where your boots touch the rearsets. Not just crappy generic distance pics. Let the pictures speak for themselves... a 1400km bike will have pretty much zero dirt and wear anywhere. A genuine 1400km mint condition VFR400 is a rarity, let the pictures speak.

Kilometers:
13800

Its 14000, not 1400

Now that makes a bit more sense.

It does look mint, although I dont think its an original colour scheme, very 80's...ill have to consult my manual for model years at some point.

But consider the original asking price on my mint 1996 nc35 was $7,500 from a dealer too, makes you ask very steep indeed.

But other than that, well done on having such a mint nc30 :)

did you actually ride it? I mean, properly? :D

far out guys! perhaps I'm setting myself up for a bit of a bashing here, but can you guys let the poor man sell his bike?! he can ask whatever he wants for it - its none of our business to comment on his asking price! for one reason or another, that's what its worth to him, and that's fine. whether he struggles to sell it at that price or not is his problem.

Antoni - looks like a nice bike, hope you get a price you're happy with.

well telling him he's dreaming would help him sell it sooner, and give a good indication that perhaps he should look at the private market (not even a dealer asks for 7 grand!)
