Sat flicking through the channels over brekkie this morning, and flicking onto Rialto, there was Mr Rossi chatting away. Turns out it was a docufilm called FASTER. It folowed the Moto GP 01-02 season, and was well entertaining. Never kew about this film before, and would recommend it to everyone to watch out for.

You can buy it on dvd, plus the update that includes up to about 2004, the first years of the 990cc machines.

Have just ordered a film called NO LIMITS from the UK. It was made over the 1936 IOM TT, starred George Formby. Some good old riding clips, using local riders. If anyone is interested over here, will do them copies for a nominal fee.

Oh, it's not a rivalry at all. I haven't seen Biaggi win anything.

Yeah, also found this prog also while browsing.
Some excellent footage from that season with a young looking Rossi.
Also had a good look into the rise & rise of John Hopkins from old vid footage of a young kid on a kart track riding a small road bike through to some excellent footage of him pushing hard at a track test day & having a big opps.
Was also good to see some big namers interviewed like Swantz, Mamola, Kenny Roberts etc. Interesting take on the "knee down" style with Kenny Roberts suggesting that he was the one that first used it that up till then it was a stay in the saddle & lean style. Heaps more covered as well.
If you get a chance to see it do so, well worth it!

3 movies by Matt Neale in total.
Faster (last year of 500 two strokes)
Faster and Faster (first year of 990 Motogp)
The Doctor, The Tornado and The Kentucky Kid (behind the scenes of the first American GP for ages at Laguna Seca).
All excellent movies and a great insight especially for people that don't get the bike racing thing.
Interestingly Barry Sheene's interview was one of the last he did.
Funny how he said he pioneered knee down and so did Kenny Roberts, a bit of rivalry their methinks........I reckon Roberts is full of shit ;)
Cool movies, I got the first two from Australia and downloaded a torrent of the last.
