Hmmm. Nice time to watch the MotoGP. Young Tim (aged nearly 5) will be very pleased to see "his" Rossi at a good time of day.

Hmm, yeah that is pretty good. Although I would have preferred having live gp and watching the 125's after the gp. But i suppose its better than nothing. Although sky would have probably still shown it delayed.

Helps that its at Motegi which is getting closer to our time zone.

Philip Island weekend will be a good one too - just a couple of hours behind.

Merv you live in my neck of the woods can you pick up Prime signal with a standard roof TV aerial? I dumped Sky ages ago. I can get a very faint picture only.

I've always been too tight for Sky because it doesn't do it for me - there isn't 24 hour motorcycling on it. Free to air you just need a UHF aerial - i.e. if you still have an old Sky aerial (not a satellite dish) that will do it - you know one of those ones with the small doofers on it. It is good for Maori TV too so you can watch Billy T James on Monday nights.

Thanks Merv that's what I wanted to hear - hope for a cheap fix by changing aerials instead of paying for Sky again. I've got the large/old style TV aerial and a Sky dish (now just a roof ornament without a decoder). Bikes and Topgear on Prime, great stuff!

Probably cost you about $80 from Dick Smiths or somewhere and attach it to your aerial pole pointing it at Kaukau, tune it in and you're away. You may need a masthead amp too - don't know why someone might know the technicalities of it. I inherited a UHF aerial from a rental property and then got Robbie from RT Macs at Paremata to fit it for me - saved me climbing two stories up onto the roof and he said it needed the amp. I got my aerial for free but he charged me about $150 to fit it properly.

Only hassle out here is all the hills cause some shocking ghosting at times that you wouldn't get from satellite TV. We find 6 channels is enough to keep us happy so as I said we don't bother with the cost of Sky. If TelstraClear had their cable out here with full package then that would be another story as I've been on Paradise internet since their beginning. Can't be bothered with Telecom package because we'd end up changing e-mail addresses.

Too right. Sky was brainwashing our Kids with mush.
I'm waiting for cable too. Might give us a cheaper option. Missus wants Broadband but the cost needs to come down first.

Just gotta say that Prime does suck on there info!

I thought Pedrosa is defending his lead in the 250`s?

And they got the 125`s way wrong. who is Mika Kallio?

Anyway enjoy the racing people, look out for me in the crowd of Japanese! :Punk:

Yea, I think their info is based on the last round, and not on the overall championship season or positions.

Still, I'm not going to complain at this stage, but if they're looking for a media man or someone to front the show next season then I'll put my hand up :spudwave:
