Who's idea was it to make "Ride to work day" in the middle of Winter!!?? :stupid:
If the cold wet weather isn't enough to put people off from taking part, (Others!,,, Not me of course!), Then the fact that a lot of people put their bike registration on hold over the winter wouldn't help the cause!

It's an American event. I guess we should start an Annual Southern Hemisphere Ride to Work Day sometime in Feb.

I agree Coldkiwi about the Auckland traffic ... but how about the south island brothers and sisters ? ... hail, ice and snow about now , cant blame them for not riding in it eh?

Now, if i can just figure out how to strap 1/2 a ton of tools & gear to the back of the trusty Yam, I should be OK........

Whoops, another post!:o

What?

I have to go to Hamilton for work on the 16th. If I go through Matamata, out to Walton and through Scotsmans valley there's some good, tight twisty stuff and naff-all traffic... I suppose I could take the bike. I won't enjoy it, though. Not much, anyway.:p

Time to wash off the Indian and adjust the points ready to go!
Still got the dirt and grime on it from the sulpher city mission in feb.

That's so unfair! I work from home.:(

Maybe I should take the day off and ride around all day long.

Perhaps the NZ celebration of this day should be for all bikies to call in
sick, take day off, whatever and ride all around making there presence known.

Just remembered I'm not even working that day... perhaps I'll take a tiki tour for the hell of it.

Didn't notice many more bikes today as I drove in :o missus wouldn't let me take the bike as I'm still recovering from flu.

Weather was not terribly well organised. I can't see outside from my office, and wonder whether or not my bike will get wet...yay wellington's weather - you can''t tell, and it won't decide

Maybe if we speak to Marc Ellis we could organise National Ride to Work Day and National Nude Day to coincide??

I was 664km away from my bike, and added to that disappointment was the fact I can't even ride it if I was there (both due to having a fucked shoulder and apparently, according to many, not being able to ride anyway)....what do I hear violins?

I commiserated the fact by spending all day on here instead!
