The MV Brutale is OK, The Buell XB9/12S is gorgeous.

That thing looks like the aftermath of an accident in much the same way as the Yamaha FZ6. If you are going to build a naked bike, don't make if uglier than an '87 CBR600 with it's clothes off was supposed to be.

I agree - too much mixing of influences here. You either make it all angles, or all curves. The two together just don't work so well.

Not a patch on a Brutale.

Are you guys gay?!

It's *tough*. That thing looks like it'd beat the shit outta the Buell, then take a piss on the MV as it sits cowering in the corner for fear of getting it's pretty face knocked in. :Pokey:

Yeah, but so does your heap of shit. In fact your heap of shit looks BETTER than the TNT without the "benefit" of mega dollar design work.

Hmmm. No, not gay, but I am a graphic designer with 20 years experience amongst other things, so feel slightly qualified to talk about design.

Yes, it looks "tough". But tough is only part of the mix. With most modern 'cycles you take it as a given they'll go well. And the "naked" style exposes so much of the bike, unlike a "faired" style, that you have to consider how the bike looks as a whole.

As far as the design goes, they've mixed and matched so many styles that the bike doesn't look like an integrated unit. There's no "flow" in the design. The bike looks like a bunch of parts created by separate designers then thrown together in a pile and bolted together.

It probably goes great, and, as has been mentioned before, you don't see the bike when you are riding it.

But I expected a bit more from Benelli. So I'm a bit disappointed with the end result.

Ah, the "Heap of Shit" comparison. Perhaps a 1 to 10 scale, with bonus points for lack of artistic merit? And a grand final where the winner gets the annual "Fuming Dung" award?

Hmmm....

It's weird, it's ugly, and I'd have one. As long as Benelli isn't going to go belly-up again...

Fark! That's a mouthfull! I agree in part with a bike needing to look good as a whole but it is all so subjective to who's actually doing the looking.

I, for example, think a Brutale is a sexy, SEXY bike. However, I'd never personally own one for the simple reason that to *me* street fighter styled bikes shouldn't be pretty. A Buell Lightning is as far "finished" looking as I'd ever want.

But then anyone who saw my last bike, and the machine I chose over it probably thinks I'm mental anyway.

Have we established this as a new "FuglyBike" forum? Yes? Well alrighty then....

'They' reckon this (the new "nekkid MZ") has the "mantis look") prolly like the XtraRaptor. I reckon it looks like an ant, with its strange antenna-like mirrors, weird colour and shapes.

Warning! If you are of a sensitive or squeamish disposition DO NOT click on the thumbnail below.

at least the TnT Sport has some overall style. the kinks in the frame match the kinks in the exhaust. the sidepanel blinker kinda match the bikini. i think perhaps iff it had a proper screen and a bit more fairing up front it would be a bit more fitting to my style sense but hey. nice effort.

It'd be nice to see a few more photos though, including what it looks like with a rider on board. I did see a whole set of the concept bike, but I can't remember if it's changed since then (it was some time last year, I think).

I like it for ALL THE REASONS you have put below. It doesn't look like a run of the mill cookie cutter bike.

I'd rather go for the new Bimota Tesi 2D. Minmalist and extremely different.

Found this while surfing and thought I'd throw it into the mix.

Suzuki threatened to make it, then chickened out.

The Suzuki Boost King shown at the 2002 Tokyo motor show.

That's a turbocharged Huyabusa engine inside that frame.

WT - this is my idea of a streetfighter.

That looks way too sexy for a Suzuki. Probably why it remains a "concept" bike...

As soon as i saw that i was reminded of those cylon thingys in Battlestar Galactica... did it do that for anyone else? I think its the headlight, should have a little red light moving backward and forth.

Hi guys, have ridden the Tornado and was deeply unimpressed, would not start, when eventually got it going it would not go into neutral, ran at 95 degrees when air temp was about 5 degree C....

Looked at TNT on Sat at our local dealer and thought the headlight/clock were an after thought, as if he had forgotten about them!!

Now as for the Brutale, I liked it so much I bought the company..(only kidding) only bought the bike.... Pure sex on wheels :niceone:
