hay guys!, i had a preminition today, i was at a guitar lesso and we got to talking about how guitar was his passion and he followed it and he loves his way of life, and that how every always loves something and is good at it.
i starting thinking about motoribkes and what ild be doing if i did the whole competitve thing years back, i have a feeling ild be pretty good, so now im on a binge to do anything and everything competitivly (minus racing lisence things)
ive done a round of GNCC before near matata and i did really well for my first race ever on my old KDX200 seem it was in the class of all the race 250's and 125's.
so im asking if anyone knows where and when there are going to be some events in the coming weeks, but relitivly close to tauranga?, any help?
thanks

thanksNice to see you back flash.
You still have years ahead of you!
I was at Rowe Road, just out of Tauranga, on sunday and recomend you go have a wee looksee up there. Up Ohauiti road and keep going. There's a junior track, a good sized motoX track and apparently a 12k(?) trail as well. Cost bugger all to go and you can see how you go against all the weekend warriors.
If you want to race propper, join the Tauranga Motorcycle club, get an MNZ licence and get down to Awakaponga Track(Matata) and get into it.
Do it while you're young!

300 + riders shot gun start. and after the first 3 laps the track starts to get really cut up. went and watched 2 years ago to pit crew for a few people. they were good riders and come lap 4 they were struggling.

enter the novice class, only 2 laps,
start off the back, no need to go off the front if you are not experinced, infact it would be better to start their and take it easy in teh maize paddocks, lots off time to make up any lost positions
he also said no licence, which limits races in that part of the island,
GNCC only run though summer, and he seemed to know about those series,
just cause the serious guys are thier does not meen novices are not welcome,

just cause the serious guys are thier does not meen novices are not welcome, give it a go, it is the biggest (in numbers) best (in most people opinion) race in the country, and its close to tauranga, you do not need a MNZ licence, and its only a month away, easy choice in my opinion
