If I was to give a date for a social gathering at chez-scumdog for early next year how many KBers would be interested? All breeds welcome, no attitudes, tent sites AND indoor sleeping-bag space available ( and off-road/indoor parking availalble). Positive replies and suggestions for dates with the realisations that crime has no days off (if ya know what I mean).

Given a date time and a map/directions I will consult my social calender and see if I have the time to trundle on over that way.
Might be easier if you put the date and let people decide rather than get five different dates from people?

O.K. guys, M.G. put the pressure on me to pick a date, that time of the year is pretty busy for the rally types so as a nominal date I pick two weeks after the BRONZ rally at Waitangi (Vincent Rally) weekend, if you know what date THAT is let me know, my calendar does not go that far!! :doobey:

That would be about the 19th & 20th of Feb(I think)
Sounds damn tempting, might have to go and find out what a real cops pissup, errrr, social night, is all about.
Mini rally situation is it SD? tent and supply your own booze and female/male?

Yeah, I think M.G. has got it sussed? I am keen for a pissup then, first priority for K.B.er, no holds barred for anybody who needs space at chez-scumdog.
Bring you and your scoot. - H-D or not!!
And I've almost met my social limit while drinking me quota of duty-free Jack Daniels so don't push my hospitality!!! Juat kidding, all welcome 'sept 'ass-holes!!

I'd be keen. I'm going to be down for the Vincent but I don't know if I can get a full two weeks. Might just have to have two trips.

Well i'm planning a trip round the South Island anyway... guess there's no harm in me planning around these dates. It's probalby worth another thread, but is there anyone with experience of touring the South Island who might be keen for another trip arund this time... I'm thinking of a couple of weeks away, is that long enough?

D'ya think so? I might be a bit slow for you WT, it'll be very much a tourist run for me with camera ready at all times. This will be my first trip round the Island in the 25 years that I've been here after all.

I can't tell you for a few weeks I'm afraid.

Thats when Vicki and I take our holiday and the cancellation of the Pukekohe Classic festival has stuck a spanner in da works... So we are trying for 2 weeks in the car with the kayaks on the east cape / coromandel (life's tough eh)

I won't know about the accomodation for a few weeks...

My advice is to avoid things like waitangi weekend etc etc like the plague. Traffic, ferry bookings become a nightmare compared to the relative problems of a few days leave.

Cheers

I'd be keen as a keen thing if it's around the time I'm down. I hope to be in the bottom half of the South Island around 6th Feb but have to be back in Christchurch by the 11th Feb for a wedding. So depending on the dates I may or may not be able to make my presence known. :niceone:

Thanks for the replies guys, wrote the original message while under the influence of expensive "waipiro" and had my lip down when I realised the number of rallies I would miss due to work, decided to arrange a get-together to suit MY time off.
As a matter of interest Chez-Scumdog is available to any K.B.er passing through at anytime but a gathering of like-minded types should be good eh? ( leave the knuckle-dusters and asp batton at home texmo!). :calm:

Do not listen to this person for he speaketh with forked tongue, for I have the simple clarity of thought of any normal 12 year old - and I am married to someone of similar ilk.

I am still aiming for the period between the Vincent rally and the March Hare, should you be in my area at any other time a P.M. will secure you parking space and accomodation, safe riding.

Hey SD I heard about this Vincent Rally - do you know when it will be? Slightly off the topic I know but I thought I might try and make it down south in time to go to that.

Yeah, to my knowledge it is Waitangi weekend, has been so since I can remember and cannot see it being any different next year which is the 21st Vincent rally, it is one of the BEST summer rallies and I defy anybody to say anything different.

Not quite, it is about 6km out of Alex, on the banks of the Manuherikia river at Galloway in Vincent County. Has a real Sothern redneck ring to it eh?

There is about two km of fairly flat gravel road between the turn-off from the tar-seal to the site itself.
Bring some more mates with you eh! :spudwave:

No rules except a cool attitude, o.k.?

Yeah head for the bright lights of L.A. - sorry B.A., do a skid on front of the cop shop and if anybody takes any notice they will direct you to the abode of scumdog & Chrissy-Bimbo. :niceone:
