Would you ride a bike that had a ‘Hot Pink’ paint job?

I know that the Britten has pink in it’s paint job and that there was Triumph Speed Triple’s released in a lovely pink colour.

But would you buy and ride one, knowing that you were not going to change the colour for a while/ if ever. If it was on sale for a hell of alot cheaper then the other "better" coloured bikes...

Yeah I would - and when the colour really started getting me down, I would get down to BK's place and beg for help with a re-spray...

Personally, No!

But this is what a mate did to his perfectly good R1 in Canberra about 6 months before I left... and if you haven't figured it out already, the helmet is hiding MotoX bars. It's a stunt bike through and through. I've also attached his mates Fireblade which started out life as a fully worked Honda Australia Racing bike... it's got some real mumbo.

As long as it had 200hp at the back wheel & MX handle bar's I wouldn't give what colour it was . Sensei :Punk:

Well I kinda already do. Has this got enough Pink on it? Having said that it’s currently being painted a grouse colour (will post when done). But it’s been this way since new & I’ve had it over 7 years.

I have a mate,fellow club member, who raced an RD4OO and then a Ducati Panther,both in shocking pink,Nipple 1 & 2.
He also had his road bike painted the same,he took a lot of shit but it didn't seem to bother him.
I don't even know his real name, only ever known him as "Pink".

Good point, Tony Mc (aka Hippy; who they virtually renamed Formula 3 Formula McMurdo) rode shocking pink bikes mixed with a nice Kawi lime green for taste reasons.   :puke: :puke: :puke:

Even his Indian or whatever it was, was so inflicted (to annoy purists I believe).

I dont like that R1 its got too much bling (Chrome) for me, i actually like the matt black frames the bikes are coming out with now.

If a bike is particually trick, an off-the-wall colour like Pink can be very becoming. Natalie Ambig.....Ambig.....Ambig. Bollocks! Bev from Neighbours rides a Pink Speed Triple. Very hot. I'd ride either! :blah:

Come on guys! get in touch with your femine side! :love2:

I don't give a rats about look's, as evidenced by the fact I havent traded my boot yet. but she'd have to be a bloody good buy or a stunner. Cos it would totally clash with my blue jacket and red helmet dahlinks!

on a stunt bike its good to have an out there colour as ya stuntin, but then its down to personal preference and everyone has their own opinion on wut they like for their bike. Kind of a hard topic to really coment on as ull either agree or disagree wit someone else.

Depends on the deal. $500 difference on say a $12000 bike for a different colour is a lot different to $500 on a $1500 bike you see. And if it was really pink the fairing would miraculously always be dirty :killingme :killingme . Seriously looks are a factor when buying but if you get a killer deal i could live with a bright pink bike for a bit (especially if it is an r1)

LOL your bike's colour looks like something that came out of a newborn's nappy, or is it just my monitor? ;)

Actually, I reckon the YZR750SP is a faaaabulous bike, and it comes in a lovely hot pink and white colour!

I wonder if having a pink bike would help prevent thieving bastards?

Can't to too many tough guys being willing to take off on one.

Sure, I'd ride it...at night! :o

...If it was on sale for a hell of alot cheaper then the other "better" coloured bikes...That would be one exception to normally buying such a feminine coloured bike, so I'd get it painted immediately. :shifty:

Strange question NC30? Have you got an opportunity to buy such a coloured bike?

Hell Yes. Why I'd even join the Destiny Church an park outside loudly proclaiming my sexuality (both hands joined together in matimonial bliss :tugger: ) and my politics. I'm an old fashioned pinko. :2guns: :kick:

My hair is EXACTLY that colour atm, so yes I'd love a matching bike :-D

one of my mates had an old VTR250 which was white with green and "barbie" pink stripes!! but he never cleaned/looked after it so it was mainly a gray/ brown mess.
my bike has pink ZXR and Kawasaki stickers and that is enough for me!!

Or are you just keen to get of the GN250? :ride:

Seriously only the homophobic should have a problem with a pink bike if it had the muscle / handling to justify it.

Hell yeah, use to race a nipple pink TS90 bucket racer! It started off with the tank etc all the same as the frame, we had 2-3 bikes together and use to race as Team Pink, later went to a fluro/black tank, this photo has a RS250 tail unit just sitting on the bike to see how it would fit, but you get the idea.

Only probs with bright colours like that is that they are normally not UV stable.. I hade a mate who's escort van we painted like that as promotion for his business but it faded badly after 6 months..
mind you, that rod would live in a garage and covered trailer any way... presumably

Depends what you spend on th job.

the deeper the laquer the less fade, also some modern lquers are uv resistant.

Hard call.
If it was the dream bike you always wanted.. yes.. but I would never stop anywhere.....gas up at home......only travel as far as a tank......tinted visor a must.....automatic garage door opener so that it's out of view straight away.
If all that is too hard...get a loan and get it painted :yeah:
