My Bro in Oz has a FJR and loves it, never given him an ounce of trouble. My personal choice based on looks (I know it does'nt mean squat) the Yamaha is better looking but in reality I think the Kawasaki will be a formidable machine if the ZX14 is anything to go by. Only time will tell I guess, You can't go wrong with an FJR 1300 though....just as long as thats the kinda bike you really want eh.

Weird.. the George Foreman grill styling on that works kinda well, unlike the ZX14. I'd hit it.

My kinda bike. I had the old GTR1000, which was great for an old tech bike. The GTR1400 would be fantastic. My pick of the two.

Haven't seen it up close and personal yet, but I hope they do something about that ugly big can on the right side.

Otherwise it looks just about as impressive as the ST.??!!

on a more serious note. compare the FJR to the concours.

concours - http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/Detail.aspx?id=220&content=specifications

FJR - http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/yamaha_fjr_1300_a_2006.php

most un-noticable is the tourque 99.1 for the FJR and 100.3 for the Kwaka.
and compression is 10.7 Vs 10.8. I think it will some down to style and you know which one will win every time.

what the hell do you want a raving great tank like those for? one cylinder is almost the same cc as the viffer!! probably cheaper to run your car
you planning on bringing the extended family along on the rides?? a trailer would probably work ok on it too....does it come standard with a towbar and sunroof or are they extras?

I prefer an alarm or a big arse chain to keep my Honda secure. Though I suppose attaching a Kawasaki block would also act as a good ground-anchor :bleh:

That pipe is much like a FZ1 pipe in basic shape and with the fasteners in the ends.

Hitcher
11th June 2007, 20:15
Hitcher is eagerly awaiting a test ride, should any enlightened Kawasaki dealers procure a demonstrator. It will have to be something pretty special to head off the FJR.

One of the salesmen in AFC here in PN was talking about trying to get in a demonstrater because thier oposition has an FJR as a demonstrator which i gladly took a test ride on
I am still considering the FJR but in all fairness it would be rude to not test ride the Concourse 14
