Do you guys have my problem, set indicator on and sometimes forget to turn em off?, I had a close call the other day, (my fault I was indicating when I shoudnt) so I bought a couple of Peizo's and mounted em under the seat, wired em to the indicators and works like a dream, now it beeps when its on so I dont forget... $25 fix.. (saw it on a USA Boulevard site)

Yep, good idea.
Leaving indicators on can kill. I like my self cancelling ones.

yeah but ive not found those automatic ones are not all that reliable either, the timed ones are are never on for the right time in at AKL traffic and intersections, suppose the old Mechanical style is good :-)

Fortunately, the M109R has its warning light instruments mounted in clear view, so it is much harder to not see the arrow light for the indicators.

You raise a good safety point though!

How do these work? Based on time (seconds) or what?

Distance rather than a timer.

Ah, interesting. Where would one go to get these installed?

<hints id="hah_hints"></hints>I think they're like a standard piece of equipment -- they use them on Harleys and other fat bikes like tourers. Some of them have a combination of timing and distance before they switch off. Not really necessary, I think, unless you're starting to have short-term memory loss. I switch my indicators off while I'm nearly finishing the turn.

You think you've got problems, friggin Harleys have the kind of indicators where you've got to keep your thumb on the button to keep them flashing. Try changing down, braking and using your clutch while you keep your thumb on the bloody blinker button. I'm starting to give up on all but essential indications... maybe I'll go back to hand signals!
