My 2 cents worth -
I cannot believe the tripe that I have read this morning. In the (misquoted) words of Al Pacino “ I am to old, too tired and too fucken blind to deal with this bullshit" at any hour of the day. I accept that we have lost some really good and helpful people off this site over the past year, and although I may not post much I certainly have read and learnt a lot from them. However what ever the motivator for them it all comes down to personal choice.
Whatever the reason people leave, it is their choice to do so – just as it is mine to read some of the crappy threads left behind in the dying throes of their membership.
Some of you have taken the opportunity to publicly throw some pretty vicious comments around and although I see that it comes from a background of rage, frustration and retaliation I, along with a lot of others do not in any way support or condone either the comments or the method in which they were conveyed. For the love of this site – please take it off line and leave it off. Allthough, along with many others I admit to taking some kind of vicarious interest in the comings and goings - but the reality is that it should all be banned to the sandpit.
Maybe I am happily naive but I have had the pleasure of meeting at least two of the mods (Hitcher and Joni) and I really cannot believe that some of you have seriously got them both so wrong, and on so many different levels, nor can I believe the continued barrage of nasty and vindictive mudslinging against them.
If you do not like the rules here, then leave – leave now and with your dignity (somewhat) intact. These comments aired in public and in this manner of delivery says more about you than it does about anyone else.... In my view (and I would be very surprised if it were not shared by many others) is that all you are doing with all this continued argy bargy is to ably demonstrate your ability to lie with the dogs.
