Hi guys,

The thoroughly good bastards at Neptune Mufflers have very generously donated a new, brushed stainless muffler to suit a 2003 or later Suzuki SV650.

This awesome performance pipe is to be auctioned on TradeMe and all proceeds will go in the (already fantastic) kitty for Shaun and his family.

If you ve been living under a rock, Shaun was seriously injured at the Isle Of Mann this week, flying the Kiwi flag in the Superstock race.

Here's a link to the TradeMe auction (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=103902690)

The muffler is the same style as the one pictured (although not for a Guzzi) and is lighter and physically smaller than the stock SV unit. They also sound MINT!!!! Starting bid is $75, I shit you not, best bid wins the pipe :D

I really want to thank Neptune Mufflers for this generous effort, it's heart warming to know there's still businesses wiling to help.

Yep, Neptune do great pipes.... had them on my Honda VTR - fantastic. I miss that sound, but geez they were loud and shook the house.

As long as you didn't try and bolt it to the exhaust system it should fit fine...

OK... It's just that Neptune of late appear to be using a welded tab mounting system instead of the traditional sliding collar, which implies a more bespoke application rather than something capable of being hammered into submission.

Come on people - keep bidding. This is an excellent product, looks and and sounds awesome. Gunner had one on his SV650 - attached are a couple of photos so you can see how it actually looks on an SV (my apologies to Neptune if the actual product being offered here differs in any way).

Thanks for the photos. That's the Hitchers out of any bidding war.
