Cruiser run set for 24 June

here we go, basic route massey westgate to helensville, then up the coast to wellsford, possible brunch , wellsford returning to puhoi pub, a few drinks then puhoi onto the d/flats and riverhead/coatsville and onto sh 16 back to massey westgate coffie then on our ways , this is a crusier ride not how fast you can get to point b . leaving around 9.30 24th june if weather play,s ball.reply to thread lets see how many are going

leave massey westgate onto to helensville HW16 short ride of 20 min regroup and then up Kaipara coast Highway into wellsford appox 50min ride stop have brunch and regroup then a down Highway 1 to puhoi pub appox 30 min ride stop and have a drink and talk sh.....t and onto silverdale and dairy flat upto coatsville/riverhead HW and then HW16 buck to massey westgate , day and date is depending on weather, set for 24th june

sorry guy's my internet is going at snells pace , there maybe a couple of sports bike comming on the run, have no problem with this , bike and bikers are welcome , just keep in mind there are a good number of bike by the sounds of it coming on the ride , it is not a speed test, it is a sunday ride ,there are some very large bikes which may need more space in and out of some of the corners please give these bikes leway, have some fun ,get to know each other:rockon:

I am suspecting the oil has been contaminated by petrol leaking through the carbs. The oil feels a bit thin. I reckon I have shagged the pistons.

How about meeting at the Mobil in Constellation Drive? Reasonably central for all North Shore riders, close to the motorway, Upper Harbour Highway close by for trip to Westgate. Get together at say 8:30ish weather permitting and then take a slow ride :scooter: west to meet up with the others at Westgate. Thoughts?

I am bringing Mrs Thumper along to get her comfortable on the back and prove to her that not all bikers are delinquents so don’t particularly want to push the pace. If any of the guys want a quick ride I am happy following up behind with those of a more sociable laid back demeanour :innocent:.

Even if weather is fine I suspect roads will have brought all the slick to the top so could have some surprises on the corners, so I suspect it WONT be a fast run :-)

I had a great time today on the back of Rhino's bike. Thanks Crashe for getting us up out of bed and finding the HTFU pills for us!!! :sunny: It was great meeting some new faces and putting faces to names - Fish!!! :yes:

A great cruiser ride. Sorry we had to head back early. Lets do it again sometime and this time I WILL be on my bike. Thanks to the organisers.

I'm all about the burglary.

And the Gixxer parked at an inconsiderate angle, no less. Less than 24 hours of ownership in, I find out how far the steering head doesn't turn just as I'm backing it up to a kerb.

I had a good solo ride buggering off up 16 on my own and then up 12 to Dragsville and back, too. You cruiser fullas are a bit scary to follow through corners, you know that?

Curiously enough, I had a charmed run both ways on 16 and 12 today, only time I saw any marked HP was in a line of traffic going south through Maungaturoto.

And, of course, I can't truthfully say that every moment of my riding would have withstood legal scrutiny...

Can report the new lower deflectors work very well! Through the Dome when we got some rain the only thing that got wet were the toe-tips of my boots and my helmet! Drizabone everywhere else!:sunny:

Bmz2 that thing just looks and sounds mean from the rear. Saw a couple kids checking out the intake pods when we were parked up at Wellsford, they seemed impressed!

Great ride guys. was a little late on the scene but after a strong cup of coffee managed to kick my ass into gear and meet up at kaukapa. This is the first organised ride i've done. If your wondering about doing one jump in!

just finished cleaning the beast after the run checked a few things out , i know i bent the plate on the ride , found out way the bike was trying to go straight in some corners , the side mount plate bracket was hitting on the rear fender .bloody thing , back to the drawing board

Thanks! She says the pain's died down now so we'll see what the Doc says. I'm picking she'll have to wear a monitor for a few days, (hope she can take it off at times...:innocent: )

Been thinking of getting one of the PHS systems, their only $135 and seem to have good reports from most. Wifey says it's a bit cold this time of the year for riding much but I reckon there'll be nice days yet!:sunny:

Just back from the Waikato this morning. Eldest daughter's husband went off to Melbourne for a work conference and she decided to take our Grandson and visit friends for the week but wasn't sure of the address, so I figured I'd lead her there on the bike! Weather wasn't too good on the way down yesterday, the bike is filthy! But beautiful today! Early morning start from Morrinsville this morning told me my 30 year-old Thinsulate gloves may be past their best and I may need to get some Winter gloves for my old bones! :shutup:

after being invited to take part in the ride on the weekend by a kiwi biker member , who then wasnt able to attend i decided to go any way, i enjojed the ride and it was good to meet a great bunch of people . look foward to meeting you all again on the next run.
