Had a good ride on Sunday. pity about the shitty road in!!! my car was soooooo dirty. Wish that I'd stayed for another lap as it was not worth leaving early to go watch the warriors......

Looking forward to the next one.

Yeah I've just about given up on the Warriors for another year. How can they win 9 out of the next 12 to get into the play offs? They can't.

Glad it didn't really rain heavilly like it was supposed to. I was already getting a little cold with the drizzle. It wasn't really a demanding trail to build up the body heat. Good thing though cause I was already tired and sore from an earlier ride.

Didn't see ya out there Cheese.

I waved at you greg. You're just ignoring hondas!

Yeah the ride wasn't really hard, but quite alot of fun with some really nice open sections. Some more of the uphills would be nice.

Yeah, I enjoyed it too. Was a bit cut up and lots of exposed roots later on in the day, I slid on one and gave my shoulder a tweak catching the bike. I did another lap after you left Cheese, a lot of others left at the same time as you so the trails were nice and quiet. Car park was pretty well deserted by the time I finished. Overall I enjoyed it, but it did need a few more challenging sections as just dodging pines gets a bit boring after a while.

Not so worried about the mud on the road, but the logging roads between the mud and the gate shook the car apart something fierce. Reckon I've got a few new rattles in the wagon now.

All you guys on the Hondas look the same. You need numbers on your bikes. I did see a few Honda guys wave, I think. Sorry I didn't recognize ya.

Sounds like it was good my old man come up from Tauranga this weekend and I missed it. Spent sunday afternoon puting the bikes back together.

Your ride was was cold and wet but it sounds like you guys got a good "root".

Bit easy ey?
We had some people leave early because it was too challenging!
When we took the arrows down at the end of the day there was plenty of sign of 'chainsawing' on the 3 or 4 hills that were there.
Sounds like you need to turn up to the mid winter riverhead ride cheese so you can test you skills.......

There's a challenge in both senses.

Yeah I've done a mid winter at river head, absolutely loved it.

Might give the sap buster a crack this year. I found it a nice mix of mud and clay with the pine needles so I like riverhad alot. I think that they need more rides on there. Perfect place to make a MX track too.

How come there isn't more rides at riverhead?

If we run lots of midwinter rides in Riverhead the place gets trashed. It's a lot more work and expense building tracks there compared to Woodhill.
We used to run more rides but the numbers taper off towards the end of summer as there are almost too many rides to choose from these days to make it worthwhile with the numbers that turn up.

At last years Sap Buster I was one of only 17 riders to show up. Phil T told me that there were 600-700 people on the lists at sign up of people that attend the WMMC events. Guess there are sure alot of saps out there eh?
