Hi guys and guyettes,
it's been a while since I last posted - over a year!
I'm moving back to New Plymouth mid August and I'm bringing over The Bomber. (So named because it looks just like a 250. Sure don't go like one though.)
Luckily because it's nearly 20 years old there won't be any duty to pay, but I need some help on good companies to go through and recertification cost estimates. I've boned up on all the legal info on the various authorities websites and I know I will have to take the packing crate away, and can't ride it from the customs place etc. I just need to know who's the best to use. Ideally I'd like to contact someone who's done this before or does it for a job.
I'm happy to land it in Auckland or Christchurch. Makes no difference to me! Riding it home will be a strain and a trial but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. . .
You could reply here or email me at janvoc at optusnet dot com dot au.
I'll probably be running in to a lot of you on my travels. I freelance for Australian Motorcycle News and a couple of other bike mags here in Aus, and I'll be sending stories back over once I'm here. So if you're fabulous or you reckon you know someone who is, don't be shy.
See you all soon, no doubt.
