Not sure if it the correct section BUT:
I've got CB as a life partner. (after a 26 year lay-off in between).
She supports me in my lunacy,
She tolerates (OK, encourages) my gropings and carnal desires. (Canterbury KBers shut-the-hell-up)
She sits for hours behind me on the Tequila Sunrise as we tour the Mainland.
She buys my favourite brew when I need it (which is always)
She lets me go off on hunting trips, KB trips, Hot-rod runs.
She lets me use a 7 litre vehicle as an every-day run-around. (at 10mpg)
She lets me buy/have more guns/ammo than the Alabama National Guard.
She lets me go to the US of A (ok, she came too) to let me cruise around with a variety of "Sherriffs/Highway Patrol/ County Deputies and FBI associates, she lets me let rip with all sorts of full-auto weapons of war - and lets me purchase and ship home but large, stereotypical examples of '60s overdone yank tanks.
But she makes me change my socks/jocks and T-shirts.
Anybody else have burdens as bad as mine????

Nah, was never like that - 'she' went to nursing school, thought there would be 'heaps' like me. (WRONG - aint THAT many wierdos in the world)
MY thoughts? "Who the hell needs her anyway"
REALITY? Both realised we needed each other - but life got in the way (and 4 kids) before we met again 26 years later.

Anybody else have burdens as bad as mine????
I do! I do! I do! Although we are just in the early stages of our relationship.
My man has supported me through finishing my degree and let me lock myself away for hours studying, he didn't complain or moan about the lack of housework, cooking or general chores I wasn't contributing toward doing. He remained patient and positive (most of the time) throughout the whole challenge.
In the past I've had some pretty horrendous issues relating to stuff with my family and my man has been able (with a lot of talking) to understand what I was facing and support me through it, he wanted to understand and help me however he could.
He's also been willing to actually make an effort to put time aside to work on our relationship so we can make it the best we've both had.
All in all I feel VERY lucky to have him in my life.

I met the vifferbabe at the end of February, 1978. We'll have been married 25 years on September 4th. She's the best.
Although I wish she hadn't changed jobs - I see very little of her now, and she's always tired.

Me and motogirl been together coming up 10 years.
We both enjoy motorcycling, which is always greating have a parnter that shares your main interest/hobby.
But we also have our own seprate interests, and can go do our own things, or do them together.

Same with my hunting and guns thing - CB knows which end of a gun all the noise comes from and that's about it, has no interest in them. (But is by no means anti-gun or anything).

i've just met the love of my life.
she's smart, honest, strong and beautiful.
AND...
the first weekend we were together she suggested we go and look at some motorcycles (my current bike has no pillion)
we had a great morning down at barry's point road, a first for me non-solo..
AND..
last week sent me a text message to remind me to book my motogp ticket before the earlybird offer ended!
it's the little things.
Life fucking rocks.
thanks Rach.

Mrs T is terrified of flying and is cold on the motorbike thing too, but I don't like going to church so we are even.. Been married for 18 years, have a couple of awesome kids in common and still way in love, thats the best part I reckon.

One of the coolest things is to discover that your wife/husband is your best friend! Even if you don't always enjoy the same things all the time, if you like each other and like each other's company you've got the best. I figure if my Missus can put up with my idiosyncrasies for 30 years, then I can surely put up with hers! :second:
I think as we get older and wiser, ( ), we realise the real important things are the simple pleasures and we tend to stop and smell the flowers more, not stressing about differences and the mundane things anymore.
Finding a common interest since the kids all grew up and got married and becoming "Darby and Joan" was a real plus! Now we can scoot off together on the bike and have a ball with friends and family who are also bikers! Though she tends to hibernate a bit in Winter as she really feels the cold.:bye:
Only downside is trying to find something different to do for our 30th this Oct! It's a case of, "Been there, done that! What now?" Of course the exchange rate at the moment makes Hawaii sound like an option...:sunny:

13 years Mrs B has put up with me disappearing (and sometimes arrested in far flung countries on bogus charges) for weeks/months on end, many of the times being unable to phone home for various reasons, while she steadfastly holds the fort at home, raising two yung uns, and when I do return she puts up with my nightmares (I suffer from night-terrors.).
Beautiful, caring and with a personality anybody would find difficult not to be attracted to.
Mine's the best. Honest.
