Yeeeee haaaaaa :Punk:
Just took the death defying leap into a big bike :innocent:
From an SR250 to a GSX750F :gob:
Decided to stick with a sports/tourer as I commute everyday & go for long rides on the weekends but I dont really need all that extra HP of the full balls out sports models.
Its a shade under 100BHP so thats more than enough for me at present :Punk:
The guy I got it from had a mate of his "pump" the auction (I havent told him I know) but the price is still reasonable and less than what I set out to spend in the first place, so im not too fussed
And before some of you say "becareful"
(thanks for your caring and concern in advance)
but I REALLY dont like pain so im gunna be a nana for sometime until im comfortable on it
Honest :innocent:
WOOT for big bikes :Punk:

ahhh nice
What year is it?
Be careful... the brakes on those things are not the best considering the speeds it will reach.... even with new fork oil, new pads and braided lines... my 600 has an uncanny ability to "keep going". If it is pre '90 you will want to watch the rear brake... it will lock the rear unless it's warmed up a bit...
They are nice bikes!

W00T? Woot?
When you're my age it takes 1200cc+ of Jap multi before my pulse gets raised.
Otherwise a noisy GN125 does it for me.....

Its a late 92 with 56,000 on the clock (one owner) and has the usual wear n tear u would imagine for a bike of 15 years with moderate milage. In no hurry at this stage but.

Awesome mate! I can only dream of updating my bike at the moment, money's a bit scarce :(
Next time you're up this way let me know and we'll go for a ride somewhere!
GSXs in general are great practical bikes that are suprisingly quick!
Woot indeed.

I know someone with one of those. It has a loudish pipe on it, and it sounds really really good.
Go on... GO ON...

Send me a PM if your thinking about painting it. My bike got a full respray last year and I know an outfit locally who gave me a bloody good deal. Though I did all the prep work myself which saved quite a lot of money.

So thats what ya been flogging everything off to pay for?
Be careful man... big diff in weight, watch the centre of gravity when doing the slow stuff like parking, greasy shit under your boots. No injury but hard on the bike when you drop the fuker let alone embarrassing.
Enjoy the power!!!

Ah yes. Bringing the bike out the garage one morning my boot slipped on wet leaves as I was getting off to shut the garage door. I slipped, bike slipped and and I effectively just managed to lower it gently to the ground (I posted a thread on how I got it back up).
Embarrassing indeed.
Don't let Woot turn to Toss
Pls post pics once is your bike is resprayed - maybe have a google to see how the bike looks in different colours even though you like the blue. I always thought it looked awesome in the '80s in solid colours (but not slid blue), although I have a soft spot for my bertie basset original colour scheme - so go two-tone?

Paid $390 including GST. Graphics were about $50(not shown on that pic). Was by far the cheapest, some other places quoted twice as much. Although the prep work was painstaking, and tedious, but the end result was worth it. My advice for you if you do get it painted is get ALL cracks plastic welded properly by the professionals(can recommend another place locally if required). We filled in a few minor cracks with bog and sanded smooth but I noticed they have reappeared, so that was a mistake.
