Take a look at this clip I shot at dreamworld and you will see what I mean.
Doh!
Shot some footage on my digicam in portrait now cant seem to rotate it to upright.
can anyone help? :not:

huh?? what clip. And there is some video editing software out there (i have some but am yet to try it) that should do the trick

i havnt looked but the best codec runner ive come across is called vlc or video lan client, u can stream video with it, like broadcasting audio with winamp. You can play dvd's etc. and you can resize etc so you might be able to rotate as well. download for free from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ . Id get it if i were you even if its just to play files.

Get one of those fancy new LCD computer monitors that you can rotate around 90 degrees clockwise or anti-clockwise.
And while your watching, have your digicam in your hand recording.

Virtualdub can do it, and it's free
http://www.virtualdub.org/
If you've never done anything like that before it might be a bit tricky (took me a while to figure it out anyway...), but you'd use one of the video filters for rotating it, and then you'd probably have to choose a codec to recompress it.
The documentation on the site should help though.
