This should keep the grammar nazis entertained for a while:

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports/auction-104650173.htm

Our joint-venture motor has 5 great characteristics :

1. super quiet sound, gentle and amiable and melodious;

2. horsepower is powerful, it is easy to run quickly;

3. the electricity may be triggered at any moment to open, control and follow one's bent

4. installed the gasoline economizer, appears the more technical inspiration;

5. with the plasma baking varnish, integrates the fashion charm;

6. the performance-to-price ratio is high, for riding instead of walking first choice tool

***only got two of them,hurry and don't miss.good luck for all bidders.***

- gasoline economizer,
- bent,
- plasma bake,
- handbrake,
- 149.0 exhaust,
- melodious
- and fashion charm.

have to do with motorbikes ill be queing up to get myself one of these, im sure the 'dealer' is extremely knowledgable and will have a superb parts service for my new 'fashion tool' though.

its actually fun at the expense of someone who is importing a product probably unsuitable for New Zealand, unsure if it has been VIN'ed but i doubt the seller knows what that is, and imagine the poor person that buys this as an introduction into motorcycling, it will not be a good first experience, if you are going to sell something at least take the time to know what you are selling. He also has absolutely no idea about the bikes he is selling. The bikes are obviously of low spec and quality, and have no dealer backing. He claims that spares from other makes will fit. I think that everyone who helps anyone avoid buying one of these is performing a public service.

It is my opinion that anyone who gets onto 2 wheels has to have a little bit of common sence atleast. anyone who has any brains would not just buy the bike just like that and would enquire about parts etc as ur point being. however, this does not give us better educated folk a right to spam the guys auction. I know this trader. He arrived from the northern Chingsui province to NZ last Christmas. He has 7 children that have never had a Christmas present. His wife died of the local strain of the Chicken Flu. (Called the Chingsui-drop-dead-chiken-chop-sui) When he arrived he only spoke ChingsuiWonTon. He is now studying english at the same time he works nights at the Pet Food factory in Henderson. As he lives in Howick and has no driver licence he uses a push bike to get to work. As he can not leave his children alone at home he takes them with him on the push bike to work. (One fell off last night and he will go back searching today when his boss lets him off work).

The idea was that by selling these bikes he would be able to afford to buy all his kids a Teletubby for Christmas (Tinky Winky is their favorite). And bring his sister and her 17 children here too, and buy them all a Teletubby too for Christmas (They have yet to make their mind up re if it will be a Lala or NooNoo the little sucker). But if you guys keep on making it tricky for him he will never achieve this dream of his.

So, could you live with that on your concience??

Oh, and I now know where my daughters pink 3 wheeler disappeared...

With sellers like this caveat emptor, but with an informed market, caveat vendor I say. Understanding what you are selling and being able to communicate would be fairly basic requirements. This is not some hard drive, iPod or other such item that is fairly standard and will be OK to buy in NZ. The comment that any old bikes parts will probably fit it and not being able to identify the maker is fatal. Agree with Joni's intention that we could point out possible problems with this bike, but have to admit that these question would not get an answer and "stuffing up" the auction will at least teach the seller to learn something about the machine. Sure its all gone a little too far ... I didn't post any questions myself, I vuz just following zee orders.

Could djtransonix1 really be interested in buying one of those machines? If you are indeed not an addled buyer but a stealthy kber identify yourself and earn a green bling for correctly identifying us all as idiots.

well i posted some and anybody wants to do the same on my auctions feel free......because i dont give a fat rats arse..he is trying to make a quick buck selling a couple of dubious quality bikes and if he cant understand the english how did he get in to enzed.....is it that easy

I couldn't agree any less with you guys, it's all been done in good faith, pisstake, no harm intended but some people from here are turning way to soft and sensitive about it aye, usual KB PC crap!

I've got some red reps for my comments and green as well :D Lol..

But the fact of matter is it's a piece of shit and should not be sold to anyone at all, well not here in NZ, so who really gives a hoots ass about the buyer trying to make a buck or two.

I don't care about the money he makes, or doesn't make, I am more concerned about the poor fellow biker who buys this shit :angry:

Yes there is a proper professional and more importantly a mature way to deal with it but we all aren't the same so the ones getting to cocky about the shit giving treatment HARDEN UP.

It's all good once in a while as we can see how entertaining it is and yes if I was on the receiving end I wouldn't turn all soft and pussy about it.

Where's the link to Chopper Reid here mate. Wait let me find it:

0oh here it is :D Enjoy !!

Anyone who has a problem with this guy's auction should really look at the people who make the standards that allow 'crap' on NZ roads - not some poor sod who's taking advantage of the governments slackness......and if that doesn't buy it - then the old saying "you get what you pay for" should.

So now we have online safety nazis deciding what should be sold?
Surely not the same people who whinge and moan about the govt, police, ltsa, speed limits, etc etc etc making rules and regulations that interfere with our god given right to blast around at warp factor 9.
But this is different isnt it
hey why not form a committee because with 897,608 items for sale on trademe it must take a while to check everything to see if it is worthy of the KB seal of approval.
You could issue safety compliance certificates.
And safety non-compliance certificates.
At $2 a pop thats $1,795,216
I would do it but I would have to get out of bed

Go back to the trademe ad and have a close look at the front brake line on the blue bike, then compare it to the orange bike. The brake lies are unsecured and wll certainly not last very long. The brake line on the blue bike is so bad that it could easily catch on the mudguard, and even if it didn't catch it would soon wear and vibrate with loss of brake fluid. This set up would comply with the requirements for a wof initially, as the brakes will certainly work on the day of testing. However a wof is no guarrantee that the brakes will work 10 minutes after the test.

Would any experienced riders here be happy to ride such a bike? Yet this is a 150cc sports bike (sic) that is of the type that would be popular with learners. Learners, I might add, that have no experience of what to look for. I would prefer that learner riders live long enough to progress to bigger and better bikes.

just checked the listing and it appears to have been edited as all those brilliant questions have dissapeared with only this question left=

Is this 3 strok or 5 strok?

I think that means HDTboy is the winner.

Insecure brake hoses are a reason to fail a wof inspection.
From the pictures the layout of the lines dont look any different to most bikes. The hose on the yellow bike looks a little tight but that could be just the angle of the photo.
Has anyone actually seen these bikes in person?
Because they dont look dangerous in the pictures.
Someone mentioned the forks snapping, I suggest if anyone has genuine verifiable concerns take them up with LTSA. They can revoke wofs and certification. But they will need relevant facts and a more reasoned argument than most of what we have seen here.

Well how much would you do it for ? I'd be interested in a job on the committee. For a fee of course.

It would have to be done properly before I have anything to do with it. We will have to form a selection committee to ensure you are of the correct standard, hire a consultancy company to write a mission statement. For those of us who make it through the selection process there will be an arduous training program covering every facet of issuing KB Safety Compliance Certificates (hereafter to be known as KBSCC) including how to lay out your pens and pencils in the correct order for maximum effectiveness, how to sound like an answering machine when you answer the phone, how to adjust your seat in business class without spilling your champers and how to rip off an Arab gold merchant without knowing you have just been ripped yourself.
If you are still standing after a year of this you will be awarded the coveted title of KBSCCIO (KBSCC Issuing Officer) and this will be presented to you by you know who at you know where. (need to know)
On the other hand I wouldnt want to work for anyone who would hire me. (courtesy Groucho)
So you will have to run it yourself

Well, I would not buy any chinese built bikes until they learn a few things from the long time manufacturers on how to do it well.

This guy has posted a new ad, but this time, it seems to be genuine (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Scooters/auction-105113690.htm). Sounds like the scooter he is selling can be easily repaired and can serve as a great inner city commuting workhorse for a poor uni kid.
Let's show the guy that we can make fun of stupid stuff (like his first ad) but take serious stuff seriously.

Quote=this motorbike was stolen one month ago.when i found it one week later,some parts of it had already been took off such as the accelerator on the right handle, two mirrors, the container under the seats and the front wind screen.apart of these,the key hole was also been broken and there is a cut on the seat.
i hope someone who needs spare parts or who is good at repairing motorbikes can take it away.

All sounds a bit dodgy to me.:shit: I see someone has already put $25 on it.
