Had my RF900 for 6 months now. Currently wearing Pirelli Dragons. Any recommendations for replacements appreciated. Probably after a touring tyre rather than a sports one!

Welcome to KB Jacko!
No question about it.
Metzeler Z6 or Avon Azaro AV46ST.
I've used both. Currently have an Azaro on the back, Metzeler on the front. I've heard the Azaro has better wearing qualities. I get about 10,000kms out of a rear (they tend to flatten in the middle).
Both are excellent in the wet, and are sticky enough for the speeds I ride at (up to 10,000rpm in top). I would unreservedly recommend either.

Got a Z6 and a Z4... Metzlers do the job nicely.

Ran a set of Bridgestone BT010s on my RF when I had it....seemed to do the trick. Not sure if they're still available

Yep, Metzlers are the go. How about a Z6 for the rear & a Sportec for the front. I used them on my old RF (or the older versions back then) and still do on my Bandit.
Like Riffer said - they're great in the wet.

Only thing with the Metzlers is they tend to triangulate a bit on the front. But that may be just coz the RF is heavier at the front than most bikes.

as riffer said, Metzeler Z6 or Avon Azaro AV46ST. or the new avon storm.
i have the azero on my rf and z6 on my blackbird, got 8k out of the z6. now hava a storm on the bird. but the azaro on the rf is great. its the best ive found for wet touring. i wouldnt put a sportstec on your rf, you will eat it in no time! go a roadtec z6 if you get a metz.

I've been a bit disappointed with the Z6 front on mine. Apart from triangulating, like Col said, I don't reckon I'll get much more than about 6,000 kms out of it, which ain't great for a sport touring tyre, so I'm probably going to try the Avon next, as I've just put an Azaro on the front.
Mine seems to chew through fronts - its really hard on them. Probably as I push a bit hard through corners... the takas are rough on my front tyres. I always come off them with the edges looking shredded - something you'd normally see on a sport tyre.

Ran the Avons on mine. Really happy with the performance & life of these black rubber round things.
All in all a good balance of performance/price/wear.
