Not really - if I hadn't straddled two ruts I might have got through. That mud sure does create some suction - had to lie the bike on its side and then drag it out one end at a time - couldnt have done it by myself.
The next puddle over would do for a center stand - although only the handle bars would have been visible.

Now that is real MUD!
Reminds me of some trips about 15 years ago in the coro up some of the 4ws tracks. One of the other riders had his IT in a bog up to the spark plug.
The funniest part was none of us would help him get it out.
Where is that?

I'm pickin' it's up behind Paraparaumu, used to ride up there on my TM125l back in the mid seventies. Doesn't seem the mud holes have gotten any smaller...... I was a member of the Kapiti M/C and if memory serves we held a hill climb on the gravel road going up to the top from Valley Rd. Ahhh... nice to see the next generation picking up the baton.. Enjoy.....

I usually just use a pile of builders mix.

10 points to clmintie.
There is a fork off of Valley Road behind Paraparaumu that leads to the Maungakotukutuku Valley. If you follow that road to its very end and cross 2 streams and one bridge you will end up stuck in this bog...
This is an absolutely brilliant riding area - and we are so lucky to only live 10-20 minutes away.

if you don't get stuck in the mud you can ride up a nasty rutted slippery hill and see this (like we did today)

This is one of our favorite rides - as we are relative noobs we really struggle to get up the hill and its such a buzz to get to the top. Best fun you can have with your pants on...

Come with us in pherams during winter and we'll take you the back way to orange hut. those puddles in the photos are a lot smaller than the ones on the back way.
