COme in do an inspection of front tire pusj on it and no wonder it was flat:gob:

Well dad does tires for me

Race 1:

Im holding the throttle at constant rev Red Flag is brough away Green goes up Green is dropped,
From back of gridup into 3rd of line tip into turn 1 running in 4th holding it, Yeah I was stoked, Hit Dennis Holme Straight and 3 bikes power past me dropping me to 7th, I am on the back of the group SLiding into bends on my front end, Catch up to back markers the group of 125sgetthrough I get help up and lose time O well,

Race 2:

Well In this race I get a ok start Im beating my brother which now days is awsome he is so young and sooooo fast, Wont be long before he runs costantly at the frotn he is showing his signs of skill,

We are going hard swapping places constantly, Im giving him the signal that Sams getting away up front and to back off and chaseSam he didnt wanna listen tho he wanted a fight, So I Pulled the pin and tryed to catch Sam, Coming out of Turn 1 I wack Neurtal instead of second click into 2nd with hard revs lift front wheel Im trying to drop it, To late I have stuffed up Williams on my tail, I Push hard through Splash and into the Hairpin Outa the Hair Pin William Powers past me I Dive up to the inside of him into Higgens, Trying to Draft his bike down Back straight he breaks I break later real him in Nearly clip his bike crank bike onto side, Power out in his draft trying to draft him to the line but he has me,

If I may offer you this advice mate.....no matter who does what to your bike....check everything yourself. If you are wondering (as in praying) if the front brake caliper mounting bolts are tight screaming into the sweeper.....you shouldn't be! Help in the pits is great, as it saves you a lot of time and energy. But checking everything yourself personally will let you concentrate on what you're there for. Going faster than everyone else!

I wouldn't mind betting your bike has 'cold siezed'. If it has....when you're racing in freezing temps you may have to cover part of your radiator with duct tape to keep engine temp up.

Good luck for the next round!

Yeah I had taped Radiator it was a wheel bearing siezed,
Its done some rim damage,

Lucky at the mo the engine is sweet,I had it at optimum temp which is 59 Degrees jetting was perfect, Just pulling barrel off to check rings and see how it is,

Mr Poo's, It is pretty mean hair aye,
Its the same colour as your bike, even multi coloured on the top werethe ginger growing back hahahaahaha.

Hey Guys,

I have no complaints with my Mechanic he is excellent Thanks alot dad,

I never have to think about anything when I ride,

All I do is walk into the pit and say ok Im running 3 litres of gas?
Im ready to roll,

I chuck my helmet on, Sit on bike tire warmers are dropped stand is dropped I push off and start bike.

It means alot to me to have him there,

I give him a good bye Nod as I leave then ride onto track and do the Buisiness,

Me and him have signals no pit boards

I give him a thumbs up in qual to say ok bikes perfect im going for it,
Or a shake sayingIm coming in somethings not right,

Its perfect he is the best person there my Team manager and my Mechanic.

I dont like to work on my bikes as then I think and think about what the engines doing I prefer to ride and go hard,

Jimbo600 took at least one wicked shot of 125 race - Glen at an amazing lean angle in the sweeper. I will check the cd tomorrow for any of you.

I couldn't believe Glen and Adam? were doing 1.17s round there - bloody awesome.

I believe next round I can run the pace of GLen and Adam,

Yes its a big thing to ask for,

But isnt that what we are racing for,

It really sucks I wondered why my bike has been so slow straight line its been that blimin wheel bearing siezing and its like riding with the brakes on so Im happy I did a 1:22

Ikinda knew something was up in the final race whenwe were running 23's and I couldnt keep up with the guys in frotn then the massive nip

THen it freed up then boom it nippedup good and for sure on the exit of higgens,

Im lucky I wasnt a crasher of the day

I found some mean photos of me racing Ill put the link up

Haha that was the first race,

He was slower than me through turn 2 so I passed him then he wanted abattle and was pointing at you trying to say your breaking a gap lets chase him down,

We started gaining on you then he passed me again andslowed us down and you got away.

Man once he gets his corner speed up its gonna be hard to keep in front of that bugger his bikes so fast straight line aye

Ivan
23rd June 2007, 12:32
Yeah we wernt close as in on your tail but you wernt pulling away from us if any thing the gap to us was getting closer its leaving me to wonderhow much faster my bike would have been if it wernt playing up

Ivan from what I can tell you had a collapsed bearing in the sprocket carrier. When it collapsed your sprocket decided to dig into your swingarm and lock up the rear, thus finishing your race. Before it collapsed it would have done 2/3rds of stuff all to your bikes performance. Maybe 1 or 2 kph top speed at the most. Its just a product of poor bike maintenance, those bearings need to be checked regularly and the chain needs to be adjusted to ensure they don't have side loads placed on them, that will chew a bearing out in less than a race if done incorrectly. So please, stop going on about how your "mechanical" problem was slowing you down. :innocent:

Yeah ok,
Well sometimes things break down,
Its part of racing I guess

Well said!! excuses excuses. I do the same though, I like to convince myself that problems like that were the cause, so I don't have to face the reality that I was simply beaten haha

Ivan
26th June 2007, 17:27
I do admit I was beaten like I have said I am annoyed in myself and in nothing that Dad does, the one issue im having is how under powered my bike is tho to anyone else in a straight line considering im cornering and exiting faster than a few guys in frotn of me
