From Franklin County News Sept 16,""OPERATION WRATH TO CRACK DOWN ON DRIVING OFFENCES""
As you know us country folk don,t have our local paper jacked up with all this web site shit, so I'll have to type the key points of this article for ya.
As from 1st of October local Police are launching "Operation Wrath", targeting speeding, drink driving and dangerous driving.
There will be no more warnings,we have been through that stage and it dosn't work.
This operation is about being visable, targeting times, days, and intersections where crashes occur and enforcment.
1000 hours of Compulsery breath testing resorces volunteered by the "Regional Traffic Alcohol Group" (RTAG) will be operative.
And for 120 hours a week, the RTAG will target known intersections and high risk zones.
This is over and above normal police presence on Franklin roads.
Police will be more visable... etc etc....
FYI

The Police maintain a very high profile in the areas north of Franklin County. Shame they don't turn off their 'Cloaking Devices'
Their 'Cloaking Devices' also affect ability to detect excessive road speed - especially in area's marked 80Km/hr which is a shame because the daily quota could quite easily be obtained between 05:30 and 06:00 in the vacinity of the Nelson St off-area from the NW.
Gosh - technology!!

Oh well the average speed on Glenbrook rd in the morning must be around 120kms so it had to come.I just about got taken out by an old snowy at the kingseat cross roads on the way home today.
He watched me coming for two hundred meters an then pulled out when I was around one hundred meters away, had to go around him or over the top.
I hope they catch that bugger but they'll probably get me instead. :spudwhat:

Shouldn't it be Operation Roth, so named after Philip Roth, author of Portnoy's Complaint. The one with the famous kitchen liver scene.
